senior year had came and went, the future looked even brighter than ever. so many possibilities, and their youth was only so long, and it was after that graduation ceremony that shania and gus sat and spoke. they spoke of the future, the past, and their ambitions. two eighteen year olds with the whole world to tackle and they were ready to feast on whatever the world had to offer them.
"well what do we do now?" shania had finally asked.
"im glad you finally asked, i think we should go to california"
"california?? gus, do you even know the cost of living over there, we'd be paying a million bucks a month to live in a compressed shack! may i remind you both of us are also broke as fuck? where will we stay?" shania as always worried.
"shania it's simple, i have a couple of buddies over there that would let us crash with them in the meantime. after that we can do whatever we want, it doesnt matter. theres no reason to be living in an area like this when theres california. think about it!" he explained, reassuring her worries.
"gus where will we work? what will we do?"
"it doesnt matter what we do, because we can be happy with whatever we can find"
"i'll think about it, okay?"
"well dont think for too long, youll start hesitating too much alright?"
"okay, goodnight. i'll see you tomorrow!"shania said, getting up from the ground.
they exchanged a hug, and waved goodbye.
shania knew that her doubts wouldnt stop her. gus asked her, he couldve asked someone else to go to california with him, but he didnt. it was her, so she would do it. the future was uncertain, but it didnt matter, she knew the constant was gus and he would be there.
