Kingdoms [A Jimina Story]

Chapter 14

After Jimin exposes the secret entrance Mina showed him, the soldiers are quick enough to block them all. He sighs and says, "I hope this is enough." Jin groans as he walks behind him and says, "It's never enough."

As the two walk to the meeting hall, they hear cheers and laughter. They rush inside to see Jaebeom and his team with Sana. She looks uncomfortable but stays seated. Jihyo says, "Good job Jaebeom, but you took longer than we expected." He says, "Jackson wanted to pick flowers, we almost got killed." Jennie chuckles and says, "But thanks to our ace in the hole, we got away unharmed." Jaebeom smirks and says, "Is this your way of flirting with me?" Jennie smiles back and says, "Maybe. Why? Is it working?"

Jihyo meets with Sana privately. She hands her a bottle of water and Sana sniffs it before drinking. Jihyo looks at her weirdly and says, "Hello, I'm-" Sana hushes her, "Shhh." Jihyo remains quiet as Sana looks around. The paranoid girl says, "Bring me back."

The queen looks at her confused and says, "What? Why would you want to go back? They'll just force you to work and make weapons. And about that. We need an antidote for that biological weapon you unleashed on the Momo tribe." Sana stands up and looks out the window then says, "You don't get it do you? You can't beat the Myoui Dynasty, they know everything. They knew about the Elephants, they knew about your daughter, they planned all of this. They killed the former queens and have several ways to get in your walls. You can't win."

Jihyo ensures her, "The 6Mix have a plan. They never fail." Sana looks at Jihyo and says, "Yes, they are a talented bunch and a big problem for Mina but this doesn't concern me. Bring me back before..." Jihyo asks, "Before what?" Sana looks at her with teary eyes and says, "Before they hurt Taehyung, I want to go back and the Myoui Dynasty won't hesitate to break me out. So please, before anyone dies. Send me back."

The queen sighs and tells Sana to heal Momo then she can leave. Jihyo then calls Jaebeom over and says, "Deal with Sana." He nods then makes his way out. Hoseok sees Sana approaching Momo and moves out the way. Sana smudges something on her lips then kisses the knocked out Momo. Everyone in the room stares and Hoseok asks, "So you have to apply the antidote by lip contact?"

Sana says innocently, "Not but I find it more fun that way." Momo's eye flutters open and Sana says, "Good morning darling, I'm leaving now." She blows a kiss to the laying Momo then leaves with Jaebeom escorting her.

Daniel asks Jihyo, "Are you just letting her go?" Jihyo nods and says, "Jaebeom is dealing with it."

Taehyung notices a figure appraoching from a distance. Jaebeom is currently approaching the border with Sana on his horse. He rushes out to hold Sana and she embraces him in a hug. He says, "Did they hurt you? Are you ok?" Sana giggles and says, "Of course, I'm-"

Suddenly a bullet is shot through her shoulder and she falls to the ground in pain. Taehyung glances at Jaebeom then at the bleeding Sana. He growls in anger then charges Jaebeom, attacking him before he reloads his simple pistol. Some will call him crazy for charging the skilled fighter but in reality, they were at a stalemate. Blows were exchanged equally as both the men panted in exhaustion. Taehyung can hear Sana groaning in pain which fuels his body with adrenaline and anger.

He ends up killing Jaebeom. But this wasn't the end, after he ensured Sana's safety. He ties up Jaebeom's body to his horse and lets it roam back to where it came from. This will send a message.

Mina notices the bloody Sana and approaches Taehyung. She asks him, "Are you still retiring after what they just did?" Taehyung cleans the blood of his katana and says, "One last but after this. You're leaving Sana and I alone." Mina smiles then nods and says, "It's your choice. Anyway, there's a meeting in the war room. We're ending this war."

The horse arrives early morning. Jennie notices the stench as she does her morning walk. She glances at the origin and notices, "That's Jaebeom's horse." She slowly approaches it and notices a rope connecting to a body. Jennie tears up and gasps, "Jaebeom, this is a prank right?" No answer.

In fear, she approaches the body and starts to gag. Jennie falls to her knees realizing Jaebeom's dead. Jihyo hears about this right away and approaches the body with the rest of the 6Mix. Jimin wakes up because of the ruckus and makes his way out too. A note is attached to the body and Jin takes it quickly.

He reads it out loud, "Anyone who lays a finger on Sana will die." Suddenly, his hand starts burning up and throws the paper to the ground. He dips it in water and says, "They poisoned the paper too." Jihyo screams in anger, "How did they kill Jaebeom?" Namjoon approaches her and says, "There are a lot of bruises, cuts, and stab wounds. He was fighting and lost." Jeongyeon says shocked, "There's someone out there stronger than Jaebeom?"

They become scared and Jihyo says, "He probably fought against tens of men. Jaebeom isn't the type to lose." Nayeon notices something craved into his skin and says, "What's that?" Daniel looks at the cut and says, "It's a letter V, it's probably nothing." After they cleaned and examined Jaebeom's corpse, they bury him solemnly. Jennie is still recovering from shock while the rest of the 6Mix approach Jihyo.

She asks, "How much longer do we have to wait?" Namjoon says, "We can't make the first move. We don't know anything about them. It's like running blindly into enemy fire."

Rose notices the panic within the people and tells Jimin, "What if I go back and spy for you? We can get intel like that." Jimin says, "No, you are not going near them. They said they won't welcome you and from what I saw, they're willing to kill anyone. You're staying here until it's safe. End of conversation."

Rose becomes bummed out and Jimin notices. He says, "I'm just protecting you. You're the last family I have so I'm not taking any risks. You see what they did to mom, that means there are some ninjas within the walls."
