Kingdoms [A Jimina Story]

Chapter 20

5 years later...

Mina glares at him with a knife in her hand. Jimin stands still in fear as it might be the last day of his life. He tries to escape but he knows if he makes a run for it, the trained ninja will track him down. Jimin starts sweating bullets as he regrets every single decision he makes. Mina starts spinning the knife skillfully while walking towards Jimin.

He backs up in fear as he knows he made a big mistake. Mina growls, "What do you mean, too dry?" Jimin stutters, "T-the chicken was just dry. Maybe you need to add sauce." Mina raises an eyebrow and says, "Eh? Sauce? The recipe Jihyo gave me had no sauce in it." She finally puts the knife down and Jimin sighs in relief.

He then says, "You don't have to follow the recipe strictly plus I think it'll taste way better with sauce." She glares at him and says, "Are you saying I'm a bad cook?" Jimin smiles and Mina growls again, "Do you think this is a joke?" He then realizes his mistake and gulps. Mina throws her cooking apron on the ground and says, "You cook then, see how I like it." Jimin then chases after her because he can't cook for shit.

For the past 5 years, Mina and Jimin have been living in the rural areas away from many people. Mina has recovered from past terrors but after a while, they decided to stay secluded from others. The two likes the alone time they've been getting and frequent visits from friends kept them aware of what's happening in the outside world.

Sana and Taehyung visit every now and then. Chaeyoung and Yoongi visit on birthdays and special holidays. Jungkook and his crew visit whenever they're in the area while Momo and her crew visit when they're hungry. Visits from Jongin and Krystal were rare because they are also busy and some goes to Jihyo and Daniel. They both have been living a peaceful life and have never left their humble home until they received an invitation.

Jihyo invited them to Lia's 18th birthday which is kind of a big thing. It was the start of her adulthood so Jihyo is throwing a small party with close friends.

Mina lays on the hammock on their patio and Jimin joins her. He says, "Don't forget we have to leave at dawn tomorrow." They stare into the vast plains and farmland and she says, "I don't have anything to wear." Jimin smirks and says, "Just use that old dress you wore at Chaeyoung's wedding." Mina complains, "But that dress is too small." He smirks and says, "Exactly!"

She pushes him off the hammock and says, "I can just ask Krys to drop a dress off when we get there." Jimin then says, "Are you going to be ok? We haven't been there since... you know... when you woke up." Mina lays her head on his shoulder and says, "It's fine. Plus, we have the special thing we need to tell everyone and I haven't seen Bambam in forever." He glares at her and says, "You've been getting awfully close to him, is he the one always sending letters?"

Mina pouts and says, "I can have guy friends too. Don't forget, he's not the one I'm living with." Jimin grins a little bit and says, "Yes that is true." He then pecks his cheek and says, "Let's go inside, I'm getting tired." Mina whines, "But the sunset is going to start soon, go sleep by yourself." He then looks at her eyes and says, "I never said we were going to sleep."

Mina blushes but after composing herself of the sudden innuendo she says, "Fine..." Jimin stands up and punches his fist in the air with the sensation of victory.

They wake up early in the morning the next day. Mina yells, "JIMIN! THE CARRIAGE IS HERE!" After waking himself up, he rides the royal carriage along with Mina. She brings out packed breakfast and even hands some of it to the carriage driver. Jimin says, "It's going to be a long trip, you should sleep." Mina lies down and pats the open space next to her. She makes eye contact and he knows this means they have to cuddle.

Jimin then moves next to Mina and she hugs him tight and eventually falls asleep. Jimin falls asleep a few minutes later. They are both awaken by a bunch of chatter.
