Chapter 18

Jimin squirms around trying to break free of the ropes as Jongin unsheathes his blade. Jimin yells, "NO DON'T! WE NEED HIS HELP! MINA'S IN A TERRIBLE CONDITION!" Jongin stops his blade while the other 3 stare at him concerned. He drops his sword and says, "Why? Why would we lead you to Kai?"

Jimin calms down and says shakily, "W-we're looking for someone of blood line. Mina is in a bad condition and there's no one left to take over the Myoui Clan. If the leader isn't of direct bloodline, conflict over the throne will cause a civil war." Jongin sighs and says, "Untie them." They look at him confused and he repeats himself with a stern voice, "Untie them."

Suzy walks over to untie Jimin's rope and as she approaches Jungkook she scoffs and says, "This one wasn't even restrained!" Jieun cutely walks near him and says, "Don't worry, he won't runaway. Right, Jungkook?" The younger blushes and nods his head vigorously. Jongin says, "Kai doesn't want to be found. He's a criminal and doesn't belong on the throne." Jimin grabs his wrist but a few seconds later, he regrets his decision.

In the blink of an eye, Jimin's pinned to the ground with a sharp blade aimed at his head. Jongin says, "Leave, before I-" Jimin interrupts, "Kai." Jongin looks at him confused so he repeats, "Kai. You're Kai aren't you?" Sehun cheers, "Ouuu, he's a smart one." Suzy starts laughing along with Sehun, "Look how flustered he is!"

Jongin keeps his composure and clears his throat. He then says, "Yes, I'm Kai. I'm the one who murdered the royal family of the Myoui Clan and that's the reason, I can't go back." Jimin looks at him in the eyes and says, "Please, Mina's life is in danger and we have no one to calm the people down." Jongin looks at him seriously and says, "They can start a war for all I care, I betrayed the Myoui Clan and was banished. Their problems aren't mine."

Jimin says, "What about Mina? She's your sister, you can't just leave her alone." Jongin says sternly, "Mina is delusional and crazy. She very well knows I killed our parents but she keeps telling herself it was Jiyong. Look where he is now, dead and labelled as a traitor and murderer. Maybe she deserves to be like this, this might just be the world raining judgement on her."

Jimin replies, "How could you speak about her like that? She isn't-" Jongin interrupts, "You can't tell me she's not crazy. I heard she killed your mother, why are you still defending her? Maybe you're just as delusional." The shorter says, "I don't know. She killed my mother and countless of innocent lives but after all of this, it just makes me wants to be with her more. I need to be there for her and you do too." 

Jongin groans and says, "Just leave! This isn't your business, I'm serving my punishment." He releases Jimin and says, "Now scram, we don't care what happens to the rest of the world. Start a war for all I care, just remember if you mess in our territory we will kill you."

Jimin straightens himself up and says, "Jungkook, let's go." Jungkook says, "No, I think I'll-" Suddenly two more people enter the room, the lady stands near Kai while the other positions himself near Jieun. Jieun says, "Oh, this is Krystal, Jongin's wife and this cutie is Chanyeol." Jungkook stutters, "C-cutie?" Jieun nods her head as she intertwines her hands with his showing off their matching rings.

Jungkook says, "Let's go Jimin." Before he leaves, Jimin says, "If you ever change your mind, just visit the palace." Kystal chuckles and says, "What's with him?"

As Jimin and Jungkook ride away on their horses, Jimin curses, "Crap, I don't know where we are. How are we going to go back?" Jungkook reassures him, "Don't worry, I remember the way just follow me." Jimin raises an eyebrow, "How do you remember- Wait, don't tell me you cooperated with them when they knocked me out and kidnapped me." Jungkook looks at the starry night and says, "I thought she was the one." Jimin chuckles and says, "You're so dramatic."

"MINA? MINA!!!!!!" Jimin rushes as he hears that Mina just woke up. He's stopped at the door of the room she's in. Chaeyoung says, "Oh you're back..." Jimin bows but can't contain his excitement as he enters the room. Sana says before he walks in, "Jimin, wait!" He sees Mina on the bed wide awake.

He says, "Mina!" She looks at him with sparkles in his eyes and says, "Wow, Chaeyoung who's this handsome man." Jimin chuckles and says, "You don't know how worried I was." Mina looks at him innocently, "Who are you?" Jimin starts to feel uneasy and says, "Mina, I miss you. I promise you'll live a better life with me." Mina giggles and says, "No seriously, who are you?"

Jimin's heart break and says, "I-I'm Jimin. Your lover." Mina breaks into laughter and says, "Wait, are you serious? You aren't my type at all. You're too short." Jimin mutters in the verge of breaking down in tears, "What?"

"Wake up Jimin. Jimin, we're here."

He awakes from his nightmare as he notices he's on Jungkook's horse. Jungkook says, "You passed out a few miles back but luckily, I'm a good friend. Now, get off I want to go home." Jimin composes himself then approaches Sana's clinic. He notices Sana in the hallway and says, "Sana!"

Sana turns to him and smiles brightly, "Hey, Jiminie!" Jimin asks, "How's Mina?" She replies, "Her breathing is normal now but she's still asleep. Chaeyoung and Yoongi are in her room right now, you can visit if you want." Jimin nods and makes his way towards the room.

Chaeyoung exits as he arrives and she leaves with the same vicious glare she gave when he left. Yoongi notices minor cuts and bruises and asks, "Did you find him?" Jimin nods and says, "He's not coming back." A loud sigh is heard and Yoongi says, "I figured. I guess all we can do is pray for Mina's recovery."

They suddenly hear coughing and scuffles coming from the room and Jimin rushes in. He notices that Mina starts twitching and beads of sweats form on her forehead. She starts groaning and twisting so Jimin panics. He yells, "YOONGI, GET SANA!" Yoongi nods as Jimin approaches Mina. He notices her temperature is getting hot so he removes the blanket.

He listens to her heartbeat and it's beating like crazy. Sana kicks the door down and yells, "MOVE!" Jimin quickly moves out of the way and Sana injects her with a syringe. Mina starts calming down and Chaeyoung charges Jimin. She yells, "WHY IS IT WHENEVER YOU'RE AROUND, MINA GETS HURT!" Yoongi holds her back and says, "It's not his fault Chaeng. You know that, so stop making a scene and breathe."

Chaeyoung breathes in and breathes out. As she exhales and inhales, she notices a man standing at the door with a woman. She unsheathes her blade and says, "Who are you and what are you doing here?" Yoongi turns defensively and so does Sana. Jimin, on the other hand, gasps and says, "That was fast."

The man says, "I'm Jongin. You might know me as Kai of the Myoui Clan. I've come to claim my throne."

"Oh and I'm Krystal!"
