Chapter 10

flashback start

Park Jiyong, Jimin's father, quickly runs to his house in Pengu. He slams open the door which surprises his whole family. Park Yubin, Jimin's mother, says confused, "Is there a problem, honey?" Jiyong says, "We have to leave. Now!" Feeling the urgency of his voice, she says, "Jimin's things are already packed but ours will take a while."

He shakes his head and says, "Leave our things. Take the kids and meet me at the secret port within Chou territory. Yubin nods and picks up the sleeping Jimin. The little boy wakes up and says, "Where we going, mommy?" Jiyong says, "I'll get Chaeyoung, be stealthy. We can't have Agust find us."

{Agust is Suga's dad}

Jiyong quickly rushes to the nursery to sneak his newborn baby out. As he opens the doors quietly, he hears clapping from behind him. He turns quickly to see Agust clapping his hands while laughing. He says, "You think you can get away after the stunt you pulled?" Jiyong quickly runs to where his child is being kept but notices Hyuna cradling the baby.

{Hyuna is Son Chaeyoung's mom. Son Chaeyoung and Suga are not siblings.}

She says, "Shh, your little rose is sleeping. She's so precious to me, shares the same name as my daughter but it will be a shame if anything happens to her. I would be so heartbroken." Jiyong curses and says, "Please, let the her go. I'll stay and take on the full consequences of my actions, I promise." Agust walks closer and says, "You're staying but your family will receive the same punishment. Our men are hunting them down as of this moment."

He curses and says, "Please, she's only a baby." Agust chuckles and says, "Mina is only a child. You killed her parents and you have the audacity to ask for mercy? We'll make you suffer the same way you made Mina suffer, by killing your family and ending your bloodline." Jiyong screams, "WHAT? I didn't kill them!"

Agust says, "That's not what I remember. I remember the traitor, Park Jiyong, murdering the emperor and the empress of Myoui Dynasty. Isn't that right Hyuna?" She nods and says, "That's what I remember." Jiyong curses, "You bastards." Agust smirks and says, "Bring the baby to the palace. I'll execute the traitor myself." 

flashback end

Taehyung reports to Mina, "She's Park Yubin." Mina raises an eyebrow and says, "Do you have solid proof?" He bows his head in shame and says, "I saw her tattoo. The same exact emblem that was on Park Ji-" Mina interrupts him with a punch on his face and he apologizes, "I'm sorry, my tongue slipped." Mina groans and says, "We have to get her before she escapes again."

As Mina finishes her sentences, the door opens widely revealing Rose holding Park Yubin by the neck. Mina smiles and Rose says, "I got the wench."

Yubin ends up locked in a prison beneath the palace as Mina visits her. Mina says, "After all these years, we finally found you. I can't believe I never recognized your face but I guess that's what age does to you. I better leave this room before I kill you. Your daughter wants to speak with you."

Rose enters the room quietly as Yubin repeats her name again, "Chaeyoung..." Rose yells back, "That's not my name! I'm Roseanne of the Myoui Clan! I've been Rose ever since you abandoned me." Yubin tears up and says, "We didn't abandon you. Your father gave up his life trying to get you."

Rose says, "Don't talk about that traitor." Yubin screams back defensively, "HE'S NOT A TRAITOR! He was trying to save us!" Rose chuckles and says, "Save us? You mean save Jimin. You left me all those years alone with the victims of his crimes. I grew up thinking my parents hated me, that they left me with their beloved son! I grew up an orphan along with Mina, you don't know how much we suffered because of that criminal. I never knew the face of my family and the only things they told me about you were evil. Got called many names actually. Daughter of criminal. Daughter of a coward. The reject."

Yubin cries out again, "I may be a coward but you are no reject and your father isn't a criminal. He found out things he wasn't supposed to and died with that knowledge." Rose looks at the old woman on the ground and says, "I don't know if I pity you for being a complete idiot or hate you for being a terrible mother." She then leaves the room as her mother cries on the ground.

Mina meets her outside the cell and says, "So have you thought about it?" Rose walks away saying, "I won't do it, it's a waste of my time." Mina then says, "Then I get the honor of killing the traitor's wife."

Jimin runs through the crappy pathway as he follows his mothers order. As he notices the run down port and the beach along the coast line, he sets up camp waiting. He starts a fire and lies down under the stars contemplating on his mother's actions. Why did she want to leave all of a sudden? What is she scared off? What did she leave behind?"

In the middle of the nigh, Jimin's wakes up to sound of a ruffling bush. He stands up defensively when he hears a voice, "Don't move a muscle." He feels a slimy slither on his leg and turns to stone. The female voice says, "Shh, if it bites you, you'll die. When I say go, I want you to start making cow sounds. These types of snakes fear cows."

Beads of sweat starts forming on his forehead and the girl says, "Go." Jimin stutters, "M-moo!" The girl starts laughing and Jimin continues, "Moo!" The girl says, "That's enough, I was just joking." Jimin becomes flustered and kicks his leg so the snake flies away.

Sana emerges from the bush and yells, "Yah! Be careful!" She takes the snake and puts it in her jar while looking at Jimin confused. She says, "Why are you in the middle of nowhere? It's late night, Mina will be worried sick." Jimin rubs his nape and says, "I was just going out for a walk and ended up here."

Sana smiles and says, "Do you want to join me? I'm heading back right now." Jimin shakes his head and Sana bids good bye. A few minutes later, a small boat arrives at the rundown port. Jungkook yells, "Jimin hurry up!" He looks at his friend confused and says, "What are you doing here?"

Jungkook says, "Hurry! They'll be here any second." Jimin says, "I'm not leaving until without my mom." The captain sighs and says, "We don't have time. Your mom was captured, we need to leave now." Jimin tenses up and says, "I'll get her back, just wait for me." Jungkook groans then stands next to Jimin. He says, "Sorry."

Jimin looks at him confused and says, "For what." Jungkook knocks him out with a heavy hit on his head. He carries the unconscious Jimin to his ship.

Meanwhile in the palace

"Hey! Don't touch her!" Taehyung yells as Sana is taken into a prison forcefully. The guards ignore Taehyung so he starts pushing them away from her. He hears Mina walk in and yells at her, "THIS WASN'T OUR DEAL! I'm working for you so you shouldn't touch her!"

Mina smirks and says, "You don't think I wouldn't have found out. I don't know what's your relation with Jungkook but contacting him to pick up Jimin doesn't sound like you're working for me. If it weren't for Rosè, she would have escaped again and it would have been your fault. So remind me, why should I let Sana go?"

Taehyung stays quiet in defeat as he's dragged away from Mina. She then visits Sana in the prison and says, "Sorry Sana, I can't have Taehyung rebelling against me. But I won't let this go, you have to make something for me. I need a disease, capable of spreading quickly and it must be lethal."

Sana'a face turns sour and says, "Why should I make an epidemic that'll kill thousands?" Mina giggles and says, "You're just like Taehyung. That could also be a bad thing. I'll give you what I promised Taehyung, safety. Once this job is over, we'll let you live peacefully and not bother you anymore. You can make that family you always wanted and have no worries about politics or war. But if you betray me like what Taehyung just did, he won't live to see your face."
