24: Epilogue Pt. 1

Jin returned to kindergarten three days after he was discharged from the hospital. He was looking forward to see Jisoo's friends and hopefully make up to them for his bad temper the previous week.

"Hello Rosé, hello Lisa," he greeted as he carefully walked into his classroom in crutches. Namjoon had insisted that he shouldn't go to school, but Jin was adamant about it. Now he slightly regretted it, since he was struggling with a broken arm and leg. 

"WHERE WERE YOU AND JISOO ALL THIS WHILE?" Lisa demanded, worry etched in her features. She went over and held one arm of his. 

"I... I'd rather not say now. I'll tell you later. But as you can see, I broke my arm and hurt my leg."

"What about Jisoo?" The girl beside him asked yet again.  

"I'll tell you when I get to my seat." Jin sighed. 

"Poor you," Rosé said, walking over to help him into his chair.

Jin thanked her softly, flashing his million dollar smile. Then he sat back and regaled his group mates with his story.

Rosé's Pov

I couldn't believe Jin hadn't been attending school since last week. What bad thing had happened to him such that he had broken his arm and injured his leg?

He was obviously struggling while trying to look cool, so I went over to help him into his seat.

He thanked me softly, smiling his handsome smile. 

My heart fluttered. Turning around, I felt heat creeping up my cheeks.

Weeks later, a very excited Jisoo was finally discharged from the hospital. 

"Goodbye Doctor! Thank you for you help!" She bowed, then bounded out the door into the arms of Jennie. 

"Let's go, darling. You will be going to school tomorrow!" 

"I can't wait to see Jin, Rosé and Lisa!" She skipped along the corridor, thanking the nurses by bowing at the same time.

After the day Jisoo was discharged 

He saw them walking hand in hand. Jisoo with her brother Taehyung, Jimin holding his sister Rosé's hand and Jungkook casually putting his hands into his pockets while laughing with Taehyung and Jimin. They all spotted the small boy and rushed toward him.

"Jin! Feel better now?"

"Have you recovered fully?"

"Nice to see you again!"

"Thanks again for helping me, hyung," Jin said, hugging Jimin's legs. Jimin bent down and hugged the sweet boy back. Jin repeated the same thing for Taehyung and Jungkook. 

Jungkook patted his head. "Next time I'll teach you taekwondo. Then you can defend yourself against bad people who steal your banana milk." He said seriously. Jin nodded earnestly, his mind wondering how Jungkook knew taekwondo, and (or so he heard), basketball, dodgeball and boxing. He was such a talented hyung. Should he start drinking banana milk too?

Taehyung was talking to his sister. "I promise I'll be here every day after school. You'll never be kidnapped again, okay? I promise I'll protect you." He gave Jisoo a hug, but a gentle one. He felt like crying but he didn't because it would be embarrassing. Jisoo smiled and hugged her brother back.

"Bye Jisoo! Bye Rosé! Bye Lisa!" Taehyung, Jimin and Jungkook called, then went another way into their affiliated secondary school located not far from their kindergarten.
