His fist tightened, white blooming all over his knuckles. Epithets rolled out of his mouth as he stormed out of his boss' office. A particular memory floated up in his mind. Pushing his colleague down the stairs in a fit of anger. He hadn't mean to cause so much harm; he was just angry about his salary being lower than his colleague's. He didn't know the latter would suffer a concussion and become comatose shortly after. Now he was sacked, he had no money. What would happen to his frail mother lying in the hospital bed? How many days did she have left to live? He could no longer afford to pay for her hospital fees. And that scumbag of his father, gambling away all their life savings. Then his father did the most cowardly thing: committing suicide after not being able to pay back. Leaving Jaewon to settle his debts.
He absolutely abhorred his father.
As he walked out of the company, a sinister plan germinated. He knew just the thing to get back all the money he needed.

After school, Jisoo strode out the gates, looking for the car that was used to pick her up from school. A black, polished limousine soon reached her view, and she quickly scrambled inside before the rest could notice her.
"How was school, Little Miss?" Her personal maid, a pretty and young lady named Ms Yoon, asked.
"It's... o-okay..." Jisoo mumbled, remembering her quarrel with the newbie. She hadn't wanted to seem rude in front of new students, but this particular one seemed to have a worse temper than her. He would have to get used to sharing his things.
Ms Yoon didn't enquire further. Instead, she changed the topic and said, "Your bath is prepared, Little Miss, and so is your lunch. Madam will only be coming home late this evening after she finishes her shooting."
"What about Tae Tae?" Jisoo asked, her eyes widening at the thought of her beloved brother. He was such a loving and caring brother towards her. Once his school had ended early and he had insisted he walk over to pick her up. Then he had said, "Soo-ya, I saved half my lunch money so that we can go to the park and buy ice cream!" After getting the ice cream, he even gave her a piggyback ride home.
"Hmm, Mr Kim says he will be coming home late today, at around 4pm, Little Miss."
"Aww, I wanted to talk to Tae Tae for a little while." Jisoo slumped in her seat, leaning her head against the window. She stared out at the blurry view outside, pouting, and waited in silence for the ride to be over.

"Soo-yah!" Jisoo heard a slightly deep voice echo up the stairway. She bolted up from her bed where she was playing with Yeontan, the family dog, and scurried downstairs. At the last few steps, she spotted her brother standing there, smiling, so she jumped into his embrace. Taehyung twirled her around then set her on the ground, giving her a peck on the forehead.
"Tae Tae! I missed you!" Jisoo whined, holding on to his long leg and not letting go. She buried her head between both legs.
"I missed you too, Soo." Taehyung smiled fondly, squatting down to look at his sister. "How was school today?"
"Not... very... good."
Taehyung put his schoolbag down and carried her to the sofa, setting the small girl on his lap. "Why is my darling sister not enjoying school?" He asked as he played with her hair, untying her ponytail with his long fingers and tying a braid instead.
"Because there's this new boy called Jin and he's so bad tempered and when he was supposed to share his crayons with his group he didn't want to and when I used one of them he started yelling at me for doing that and I had to go over to ask Lisa for her crayons to borrow." She rambled, playing with her fingers.
"There, all beautiful now." Taehyung declared, after tying the french braid. "Hold on, you said the name Jin. What's his full name?"
"Kim Seokjin."
"Ah! I think I know him! He's quite famous! I think it is our future neighbour's son!" He exclaimed, and confused Jisoo turned her head to face him.
"Who says we are getting new neighbours?"
"You know that mansion beside ours, after you cross the garden, fountain and driveway, there's a wall? The mansion after the wall?"
The sister nodded.
The brother continued, "Yeah, I heard it's going to be sold to this person called Kim Namjoon. He's the CEO of the Kim's Company, the very famous one, you know?"
"The company that owns the chain of restaurants too? Where Ms Yoon buys my favourite chicken for dinner?"
"Yes! They also own the chain of supermarkets and lots of stuff. I heard that they bought the mansion beside ours, and they're moving in quite soon. Apparently Mr Kim's son is called Kim Seokjin. He loves talking about his son and they are all over the newspapers. It's probably your classmate you were talking about!"
"If we are neighbours, can we get free chicken from the restaurant?" Jisoo asked, seemingly only concerned about that fact.
"Maybe? Don't worry Soo, I'll buy you some after school next week." Taehyung gave his sister another hug.
"Oh yes, and where did you disappear to this afternoon? I wanted to talk to you during class time but you were having lessons too, then after school you weren't here..." She pouted, crossing her arms.
"Now I am! Yeah, I went exploring with Mochi and Kookie again." He said, lowering his voice at the last part.
"Ohh, I want to see Mochi hyung and cousin Kookie again!" Jisoo said, clapping her hands, referring to Jimin and Jungkook, her brother's best friends, where one of them happened to be her cousin. She smiled, her lips forming a heart shape.
"Yes you will. Anyway, we found this warehouse far away from this district and it was really cool! Or rather, they did because I went to buy snacks from the convenience store while they walked off to explore."
"I don't like wear-houses. What do they wear, Tae?"
He laughed. "Soo, it's spelt as w-a-r-e houses, not w-e-a-r houses. They keep goods in warehouses, meaning things that are sent in from other countries." Taehyung explained as simply as possible. Jisoo nodded again.
"Never mind about warehouses, I missed you, brother." Jisoo replied, hugging her brother tightly. She didn't want this moment to end, ever.
"I missed you too, little sister." Taehyung replied, returning his small sibling's embrace, just as Ms Yoon stepped in the to living room.
"Master, Little Miss, time for dinner. There's ch-"
Both of them leapt off the sofa and sprinted toward the dining area hand in hand, yelling, "CHICKEN CHICKEN CHICKEN!"
