     Luke

After a long night with little sleep Luke decided the chance of further rest would be hopeless. Pulling on his cloak, he took a seat on a fallen tree and closed his eyes.

Leia? Where are you? What's taking you so long?
He sighed in relief when his sister's voice entered his thoughts.

Don't have a bantha. I'm fine. Blast says the base is less than half a mile away.
Luke was so shocked that he almost spoke aloud.

Blast? Who's Blast? Don't tell me you have another boyfriend!
       Leia's voice scoffed.

Put a sock in it! Anyways, I'm close so just stall Mom and Dad until then.
Luke rested his head in his hands.

I don't like lying to them Leia.

Even in his mind, Luke could imagine his sister rolling her chocolate brown eyes.

Come on Luke! Don't tell me you're gonna break our deal! You and I both know that Mom and Dad have more secrets than we can count, so don't act like we're the bad guys!

Luke got a strange sense of betrayal in his stomach as he looked over at his parents as they slept around the camp fire. He knew they had secrets but just what were they hiding? Luke closed his eyes again.

Well hurry up. When Master Kenobi gets here they'll realize you're not here and I'll be the closest one for Dad to Force strangle.
Leia gave no response but a faint chuckle as she faded from his mind. The sky over Felucia was still a dark blue-grey and it would be a while until his parents would wake up. In the mean time, he had the perfect chance to do some investigating.

Ever so carefully, Luke snuck over to the two droids that were powered down by the ship. Switching on R2-D2, he checked over his shoulder to make sure his father wasn't awake. The droid whistled softly but Luke hushed him. The other droid however would be more difficult to wake silently.

Flicking on the gold figure's switch, Luke immediatly clasped a hand over it's vocal speaker. A muffled wail ecsaped. "Oh!" C-3PO cried. Luke hushed him, "Be quiet! I can't let my parents hear you." he cautioned. The driod stood awkwardly, "Oh heavens! What on Alderaan do you want?" he asked angrily. Luke ignored him, "I want to know more about my parents past. What are the Clone Wars? Who's Qui-gon Jinn? Where did my Dad get his robo-arm? Did he do something to get kicked out of the Jedi Order?" he blurted excitedly. C-3PO looked to R2 for help. The astromech droid buzzed. "Well of course his parents wouldn't  tell him!" R2 bleeped a few times and his friend held up his head in rudely, "Well you can show him yourself! I won't be victim to Master Anakin's frightening discipline." Luke bent down next to the blue droid, "Artoo, I want to see everything you know about my parents!"

R2 did as asked. A blue projection sprang up on the ground and displayed an image of a young girl and even younger boy.

"Are you an angel?" the blond haired boy asked. Luke smiled, "Hey! That kid looks a little like me!" he pointed to the beautiful brown haired girl, "And that looks like my mother," he inquired. C-3PO looked down, "I do believe that is footage of Artoo's when your parents first met on Tatooine. Your father used to be a slave there," he explained.

As the image continued, a bizarre alien appeared being pestered by a pit driod. "Who or what is that?" Luke asked. C-3PO shuttered in his plates, "That would be Jar Jar Binks. I... I would rather not talk about him. It's far too painful..." R2 whistled in agreement.
