Hazel's POV:

After having an uneasy sleep, I wake up with a mild headache. Grumpily, I take a shower and wear my usual jeans.

I cross yet another day from the calendar. It's only been two days, 363 more days left in this hell. I groan in frustration, mentally debating whether I should leave the room or not.

I check my phone; It is half-past nine. I forgot to check my phone last night. I am extremely disappointed that there is not even a single call or message from my parents. It is like they forgot that I exist. I won't call them either. There are two missed calls from Ava though.

I call her. "Hola," she says cheerfully.

"Hy," I say.

"You okay? How did your first day at the new house go?"

"Terrible," I tell her. "It was a nightmare. Jonah, I don't know how I am even gonna survive with him,"

"I still wish I was you," she mumbles.

"But I don't. You don't know how pathetic of a human being he is,"

I tell her to come over because I really want someone to be with me and Tyler is probably not home because he had a flight last night which I am really happy about. Jonah is bad but I really feel uncomfortable around his father. She tells me she'll be here in a few minutes.

After, almost ten minutes I get a message from her she has arrived. I quickly go downstairs to open the door for her and give a long hug.

"I know it's only been a day, but I missed you," I tell her.

"Yeah, I missed you too," she says, breaking the hug.

"Let's have breakfast together?"

"Sure,"

We go to the kitchen and Trin is there. "Good Morning," she greets. We sit on a counter as she serves us breakfast.

Trin leaves the kitchen for cleaning and I tell Ava about what happened yesterday.

"So Jonah and his father don't get along," she says thoughtfully.

"To be honest, I don't blame Jonah. His father is just as bad. I don't like him either. He is sort of a jerk,"

"You are really pissed at them aren't you," she says and I nod.

"Jonah said his father has never treated him like a son,"

"Maybe that's why he is like this-" Halfway through her sentence, she stops as Jonah enters the room followed by Corbyn. Jonah is wearing dark blue and light jeans. As much as I remember he doesn't wear a typical bad boy dark colored cloths, I remember I have even seen him wearing pink once in school. Corbyn is wearing a black and white stripe t-shirt over dark jeans. A tattoo is visible on his left arm. I can't clearly tell what it is, but it looks like a flower to me. His blonde hair falling on his face.

He sees us and his face brightens. "Good Morning ladies!" Corbyn says loudly. Ava rolls her eyes and I smile at her.

"Hey," I say. As much as I get to know Corbyn, he is far better than Jonah.

Jonah and Corbyn sit on the couch. "Are you coming to the party tonight Hazel," Corbyn asks.

I look towards Ava and she shrugs.

I think for a while. "Only if Zach is coming," I tell him. After that night I haven't seen Zach. I forgot to ask for his number. I was so caught up in everything that I honestly forgot about him but I will like to see him again.

He seems to think for a while "Oh, Elijah's cousin?" he asks and I nod.

"Yeah," I tell him.

"That dick head freaking annoys me," Jonah speaks, putting his feet on the coffee table. I want to defend him but I don't know Zach enough to ruin my morning by fighting with Jonah. I know it won't go well if I speak so I roll my eyes instead.

"Where is the party?" Ava asks.

Corbyn proudly points at himself. "My place baby," he winks playfully and I let out a smile.  I wonder if Jonah throws a party at this house or not.

"Then we are not coming," Ava says irritably.

"If you don't want to" okay but Hazel is coming," Corbyn and Ava look at me.

"Uh yeah," I say. Ava gives me a death glare. "Zach remember,"

"Yeah right," Ava mumble. "He is annoying," she says pointing at Corbyn.

Ava and I go back to our talk, this time about college. I am not but Ava is going to college. We both applied together, we even had a plan to buy an apartment together but now she will live in dorms.

"Don't worry, we will be together next year, then buy the apartment," she says comforting me.

"That son of a bitch won't get away from me this time," Jonah says loudly taking both of us by surprise. Ava and I share a confused look. I open my mouth to tell her to go to the room but she raises her finger slightly telling me to keep quiet. That is a typical Ava thing, she obviously wants to listen.

"What are you gonna do?" Corbyn asks Jonah.

"Her girlfriend," Jonah says with an evil smirk, gaining my interest.

"Bro, let's not take it that far. Keep her out of it,"

"I should have his weakness as well so he won't get in my way," Jonah says darkly. I don't know what or who is he talking about but he is talking about someone's girlfriend and I can't help but think the worse.
