Hazel's POV:

As night approaches, Ava and I get ready for the party tonight. Ava borrows the clothes from me. She wears a pink sleeveless dress and I wear a purple crop top over jeans, pulling my hair into a ponytail. Jonah and Corbyn have already left. I check my phone one last time to see if mom or dad has called and again disappointed.

Ava pulls the car in the apartment parking, checking out makeup one more time we get out of the car. "I look good, right?" Ava asks me as we walk towards the entrance.

"Yes, you look perfect," I assure her. Ava has bright big brown eyes that make her attractive.

Corbyn's apartment is on the top floor. It is more of the penthouse because I remember it is a 2 bedroom apartment and it also has a big balcony.

The only thing his parents helped him with is buying this apartment for him, and he does some job in the bar. He could go to college but didn't and I am not surprised. Ava told me he is into music.

As we reach the apartment, we ring the bell and Corbyn opens the door. "Hello ladies," he says with a bottle in one hand.

Ava and I greet him and get in. There aren't too many people. Just a few in the lounge and I can see a crowd in the balcony. Faint music is playing in the background. The only lights are yellow and blue lights lit around the chimney and the window and a few in the sitting area in his red and white themed apartment.

"Come sit with us," Corbyn says pointing at the couch placed in the corner. Even though it's dark I can spot Jonah's tall figure and Lauren's red hair. On focusing, I realize they are kissing. Are they dating? Not that I care but because Ava's face seems like she has seen the same thing.

"Uh No," I say. "We are good,"

She looks at me with a sad face. "It's okay Ava,"

"That Bitch," Ava mumbles.

"Let's have a drink or something," I try to take her mind off of it which is hard considering the fact that her crush is making out with someone right in front of her eyes but she can't expect him to not date someone for her?

We walk towards the kitchen. There is various drink placed on the counter. "Are you waiting for water again?" I hear a voice. I turn around to see Zach standing with his crooked smile, wearing a dark blue shirt with its front tugged under the jeans. He has a very exquisite taste in fashion.

"Zach!" I squeal. "How are you?"

"Great," he says just as excited. A red cup in his hand.

"Guys I am here?" Ava speaks and I smile.

"Course. Zach this is Ava my best friend," I introduce them.

"Hello," Zach says shaking hands with Ava.

"We literally came to this party because Hazel wanted to meet you," Ava says. "She told me about you. She said you were the only sane one in the party and you are Elijah's cousin?"

"Yeah I am," Zach says. "unfortunately," he adds and Ava and I let out a laugh.

"Come on let's sit somewhere," he suggests and we nod. Ava and I get ourselves some drinks, I got myself a beer.

I look around to see the only place we can sit is where Jonah and his friends are sitting and I am not going there.

"Where?" I ask. "Is there a place on the balcony?"

"No, occupied," he complains.

"Let's just not sit," I say and take a sip.

"Ava Zach, come here," Corbyn says from the couch. He probably saw us struggling to find a place.

"Ok," Zach says. I look at Ava and shake my head.

"It's okay. Come on," she says.

"What's wrong with you. No. Don't you remember what happened the last time I sat with them?" I protest.

"I have heard of it. Pretty badass," Zach smiles.

"Please," Ava pleads. "

Things I have to do for you," I shake my head in defeat.

Zach and I sit next to Corbyn, facing Jonah and his girlfriend who thankfully have stopped smooching. Ava sits on the free space with Elijah.

I can feel Jonah's instance gaze on me. I hesitantly look up at him to see him staring at me. I can see a mixture of anger, annoyance, and disgust in his eyes. I wince and shift uncomfortably under his gaze.

He picks up the bottle of scotch from the table and drinks. I try my best to not look at him.

"How is your summer going so far?" Zach asks me. I clear my throat and briefly look at Ava who is busy talking to Elijah and Lauren.

I let out a laugh at his question. "Do not ask," I say.

"Is it that bad?" he chuckles

'Yes, worst,"

Week update. What do you think of Zach and Lauren and Jonah's relationship and why does Corbyn always insist Hazel and Ava to sit with them? Don't forget to vote and Comment. Love Ya'll
