Hazel's POV:

My breath caught up. I can see Jonah stretches his arm towards his phone, checks it out and places it back and I can again feel the movement. After almost a minute, when sure he is back asleep, I slowly move up the see his back facing me. I quickly leave his room.

"Oh my god," I mumble as I sigh in relief as I get into my room. It took me a while to calm my shaky breath and finally get into my bed to sleep.

"I have to go home to get my bike. My parents didn't even call me Ava," I say sadly as we both are sitting in the living area. I haven't come across Jonah after last night.

"But why?" Ava asks.

With the corner of my eye, I see Jonah enters and walks towards us and before I can process anything he holds me harshly by my arm to the standing position, dragging me to the kitchen.

"What are you doing?" I say as he pushes me to the counter.

"Who the hell allowed you to get into my phone," he yells as I squeal on his high voice. How did he find out? Did Corbyn tell him? I shouldn't have trusted him.

"I-I don't know what you are talking about," I lie, looking away not daring to look into his furious eyes.

He picks up the glass placed on the counter next to me, smashing it on the floor and I yelp. What have I gotten myself into?

He once again moves dangerously close to me, seeing directly into my eyes as I couldn't help seeing into his. I am not afraid of him, maybe a little but I can feel tears gathering up in my eyes not because I am afraid but I have never been yelled at. No one has ever shouted at me and treated me that way.

"I told you to mind your goddamn business and stay away from me or else I won't care who you are, I'll ruin you. Remember. Be careful, you won't even know when I'll have your pictures on my phone and you won't be able to delete them," he spits every word dangerously slow. "Now that you have seen with your eyes. You know what I am capable of." I gulp and widen my eyes.

He turns around to leave. "I did it because it is wrong," I finally speak, my voice a mumble. He stops. "You can't possibly do this to anyone. It's wrong. I couldn't let you do it,"

"Why do you care?" he turns around. His voice, less venomous.

"If you would have let out the pictures I couldn't help but blame myself as well. I couldn't possibly be okay knowing you are about to ruin someone's life," I say, confidently.

He looks at me for a while with expression unreadable. He sighs and leaves without saying a word and I take in a deep breath.

"What happened? He found out, didn't he?" Ava enters the kitchen. I forgot she was here.

I nod. Ava shakes her head in disappointment.

"Do you think Corbyn told him?" she asks

"Probably yes, I shouldn't have trusted him but I didn't have a choice," I am still starred by what happened a few seconds ago.

"Ava leans in front of me on the aisle. "You shouldn't have gotten into it at first place,"

"What? How can you say that Ava," I say in disbelief. "You know what happened to Emily. I still can't forgive myself for it,"

"But it wasn't even your fault Hazel. Get over it, you can't make everything right," she argues.

"I don't want to make anything right but I can't sit and watch anyone's life getting destroyed either," I say angrily. "Are you really so obsessed with Jonah that you have lost the sight of right and wrong?"

Sighing, she runs her hand on her face. "Okay let's just not talk about it. Everything is fine now," she says calmly.

"Nothing is right Ava. Didn't you hear what he said? What if he took my pictures or something? I am not safe in this house," I shake my head.

"Hey, he won't," she moves next to me. "Don't worry,"

"What if he does?"

"No one is doing anything to you, he can't because you are married to him now. If he does and his father knows about it, it can cause big problems for him which I don't think he would want," she says, making me feel better. She is right, he can't do it even if he wants to but I still don't trust him.

I also need to talk to Corbyn. How can he do this? He promised me not to tell Jonah and he did.

Ava drives me to my parents' house. I need to get some stuff though I am still mad that they didn't contact me. She pulls the car outside the house. "I'll wait here," she says and I nod.

I get out of the car, closing the door behind, I walk into the front door. Both mom and dad's cars parked outside meaning they are home. I don't want to face them right now. The front door is open. The familiar warm feeling of a home hit me. I didn't realize I miss home until I came here.

"Hazel?" I see Liza walking towards me with a warm smile on her face, wearing the same long skirt and top she always wears, her hair tied up in a bun.

"Hy, Liza," I say, giving her a small hug. "How are you?"

"I am okay. We miss you a lot,"

"That's why no one even called me?" I ask as her face falls. "I am here to get some of my stuff. Where are mom and dad?"

She points towards the sitting area. I nod and walk to small and a cozy sitting area which has always been my favorite place in the house.

Mom is sitting on the cream-colored sofa reading a newspaper and dad on the armchair next to the fireplace which is not lit, using a laptop.

"Mom. Dad?" I say as Ienter the place catching their attention. They look towards me with a shocked expression.
