It's been 5 years since I last saw Pidge, Hunk, Shiro, Keith and... Allura. Last I've heard, Hunk continued a career as a successful cook, Pidge is happy with her family and Keith is out there protecting the galaxy. No one is quite sure where Shiro is. Where was I? I was at home, a farmer on Earth. Although we parted ways 5 years ago, I never really moved on. I miss them... I miss her.
There I was sitting in my burlap couch, unable to sleep, I reached my arm towards my phone on the table. It was was 2:00 am in the morning, where the brightness of my phone enlightened the darkness of my thoughts. I called Pidge... The phone rang with anticipation, as she was always busy. She was on the other side of the planet, traveling, so I hoped she would be awake. "He- hello? Lance?" Her soft voice replied. How I missed the sound of her voice. "Pidge?" I replied with enthusiasm and joy.
"Do you need anything Lance?"
"No-No I just wanted to check in on you, how are you?"
"I'm good. I'm currently on vacation with Matt."
"Yeah, um... When do you think you'd be back?"
" I'd be back next week, why?"
"I was hoping we could meet."
"Just us or the gang?"
Just us? What did she mean just us? I broke a sweat. Confused on how I felt about her response but I didn't know why, confused about my feeling since I barely even know what I'm feeling. Of course, I wanted to hang out with the gang but maybe I also wanted to be alone with her... I guess it's been a while. Is it possible I- No. I would never let go of Allura.
"Together of course."
"Lance I need to go now, Matt's arguing with the cab driver" she giggled. I missed the sound of her laughter...
"I'll see you then" I replied, hanging up the phone. The sense of delight filled me. I would get to meet my old friends. The next morning, I sent an invite to Hunk, who was thrilled t come over to the reunion. I was nervous to call Keith since it's been so long. We never had a proper goodbye ever since he left to serve the Blade of Marmora. I don't know if I miss him as we never really saw eye to eye and I still don't remember our bonding moment where he cradled me in his arms. But I really want to see him again.
