The brightness of the sun shone in through the window, I was on the floor, in a sleeping bag, next to me, Keith. He was still asleep, so I tossed around and watched him. Even in his sleep, he looked angry. I observed his black messy hair on his face and the anger in him as he often tossed and turned. Even though we fought, he was still my friend and I knew I couldn't really ever get mad at him. I stood up, to find hunk on the couch, his limbs all over the place, and Pidge.... Where was she?

I decided to explore the rest of the apartment. The kitchen was connected to the living room, making them both really small. In the back was a small hallway. At the end of the hallway was a door. Assuming it was the master's bedroom, I looked into the other door, on the left side of the hallway. It was the bathroom... A vacant bathroom. So where's Pidge? I went to open the door at the end of the hall so I could find Pidge, but as I leaned over to open the door, I realized that it was already opened.

When I opened the door, expecting a normal bedroom as one would, I was surprised by a whole science laboratory. The walls were crimson, and the table was filled with gadgets and radars and trackers of sorts I couldn't even name. I noticed Pidge in the middle of all this, who didn't seem to notice me come in. Her eye bags droopy, and her hair messy, she glanced at me with fear. "Lance!" she yelled. "I've been using my old tracker to find the coordinates of the lions and it seems that all 5 of them are coming to Earth." She explained, shaking as she sipped on her black coffee, so strong u could smell it from the other side of the room. "All 5?" I asked, confused. "why would all 5 come over?" Pidge said. "That's not all. The tracker also shows that there is an unidentified floating object leading the lions, that's at least a size of a ship!" Pidge said showing me a graph that I couldn't understand. "Have you called Shiro?" I asked, pushing the graph aside. Pidge stood up, her legs shook as if they would break like thin ice. Why would she be so worried? "I called Shirl earlier today, but Curtis answered," Pidge explained. "He said Shiro went on a space mission 1 year ago but never returned. Garrison didn't want the public to know so they disassembled the mission and shut down the company." Pidge continued. "They shut down the company?" I asked. "They couldn't afford another incident... like my father and Matt," Pidge said emotionless.

"Shiro is lost in space and the lions are coming back? This is good! The lions are returning Shirl to safety." I said smiling. "No. The lions would have rescued him sooner. According to my calculations, the lions will be arriving on Earth in 3 days and we need to hurry up. Wake up the rest." She said, packing her equipment and stuffing them, along with some clothes, into a bag. "What? Where are we going?" I asked as I followed Pidge into the living room? She stopped and looked at me with a worried face. "I'm got going to the lab so I can calculate where the lions are landing. There's some frozen pizza in the back of the fridge. I'll be back in two hours. If the red light on the silver box turns off, call me. Don't do anything to the tracker or signals." She instructed as if she was going to leave a group of 7 years olds home alone. Well, honestly I wouldn't trust myself if I were her either.
