The tear

As we got closer, the larger it seemed. My heart, shattering in fear of what could come. My hands, trembling. It was so quiet, I could hear my heartbeat. Eventually, we were so close, we could see what was inside the tear. We floated out of our lions in our suits to investigate.

Emptiness.

It was all white. We stared the tear from inside our lions. I turned to Allura, who was confused and frightened. "Something is wrong." She sighed. "Valhalla is a beautiful place, with land comparable with Altea. Where has it gone?!" She gasped in anger and confusion.

A mysterious figure stepped out of the tear.

Graceful yet harsh.

Confident yet careful.

Keith sighed in fear.

"Shiro?"

It wasn't possible. I was shaking in fear. His face was pale with a purple co plexiglass with scars, just like... Zarkon?

"I am not Shiro ." He claimed, sounding just like Shiro, but with Zarkon's echoes. "I am Zero, the in-between." He explained. "I am an aura of Shirogane and Zarkon." He explained, fascinated by his own backstory. "But how?" Allura yelled. "When Shiro landed on that planet, he found aura. After being exposed to it, he created... me." He stated. "Where's the real Shiro?" Keith growled. We heard rattling from the tear. What came out, another creature, red, white and black. "This is Y, one of my mutant slaves. She has the power to temporarily kill anything. I'm sure all of you are familiar with X. There she is right now!" He yelled, pointing behind us. Behind us was the shuttle, with the shapeshifter jumping out of and floating to Zero. It was weird that the mutants had so much control over their bodies in 0 gravity.

"What have you done?" Pidge snarled, taking out her bayard. "So far, taken quintessence and aura from empty planets and stored them inside the tear. With all this power I can take out lively planets and get all the power I'd ever need!" He growled in evil power. "Shiro this isn't you!" I said, hoping he could snap out it! "I'm not Shiro!" He yelled back. "Stay behind the line, blue!" X demanded. "Thank you X. Isn't she doll to chase you all here?!" He laughed. "Why would you need us here in the first place?" Hunk trembled. "I wanted you to see me expose all of us to this aura and quintessence. This amount of power should be enough to kill all of you, but enough to make me the most powerful being among the stars!" He explained, as I notice Pidge drop her bayard, giving up all hope and accepting her fate.

Everything went blurry. My hair entirely turning silver and my Altean marks glowing. I heard voices.

"X activate the tear to release in 10 seconds."

"Yes, sir"

"No!"

I see Keith running to Zero, as Zero swings his arm across Keith's face, as Keith falls into the ground.

"Keith!" Pidge and Hunk yelled.

"Lance you have to get up!" Allura cried. Have I fallen? What happened?

I had frozen our physical bodies to shield us from the explosion, but had taken their mental states into their own minds... Here, I am... Nobody.
