DAY 17

louis hugs tightly onto harry's arm as the rest of the boys couple up, a frown on his face. he hated these, the more he gets to know all the boys around him, the sadder it gets when people leave.

when it comes down to it, the only couples who stayed in their coupling were harry and louis, jax and zayn, jace and troy and john and george.

wade ended up choosing joshua, zach chose lane, aaron chose jasper, ricky chose connor, and david and daniel were the only ones left over.

now that everyone was coupled up and seated, harry's phone goes off. he picks it up, swallowing harshly.

"harry and louis, jax and zayn, jace and troy and george and john, you are safe. but you must now decide within your couple which couple you want to vote off the island. please venture off, discuss and then send back a text of the couple you are choosing to dump from the island." harry recites. murmurs erupt, louis buries his head in his hands, this sucked.

louis stands, holding a hand out for harry before pulling him over to one of the daybeds.

"i think it's pretty obvious who should go." louis says, harry stares at him intently.

"david and daniel?" harry asks quietly. louis nods, biting his bottom lip.

"they didn't even want to choose one another, they were just the only ones left." louis says. harry nods and pulls out his phone. he types their names and hovers his thumb over the send button.

"that's it then?" he double checks. louis nods sadly.

after the three couples have decided who they think should go home, they return to the fire pit to sit with the rest of their group.

just then, daniel's phone goes off.

"david and daniel, you are dumped from the island." he reads out, shock crosses everyone's faces. louis' brows furrow when he hears another phone go off.

"ricky and connor, you are dumped from the island." ricky reads out. louis gasps, grabbing harry's arm.

"they're dumping the people we all chose, not just one." louis says in realization. harry shakes his head, rubbing louis' back softly.

then jaspers phone goes off.

"jasper and aaron, you are dumped from the island." he reads out.

"please someone have double picked." louis whispers as he watches lane's panicked eyes fly around the room.

louis' phone goes off and his heart hammers.

"islanders, please say goodbye to david, daniel, ricky, connor, jasper and aaron, as they are all dumped from the island." he reads out. he feels a weight lift off his chest that lane had made it through.

they help the boys pack, saying their tearful goodbyes before it was time to get ready for bed.

"it's so empty." louis murmurs as he looks around their bedroom. harry rubs his back, softly kissing his forehead.
