Chapter 8: I'm In Love With An Idiot

Colby woke me up.
Azaria: "Ugh what time is it?"
Colby: "It's 8am"
Azaria: "What do you want?"
Colby: "Let's go to IHOP and get breakfast!"
I groaned and got up.
Azaria: "Fine"
I put my hair in a ponytail and put on Colby's black and white striped pink panther t-shirt. He just put on his maroon hoodie. I put my vans on and we went to his car. The drive was quiet. When I'm tired I don't like to talk much. We parked and got out. We waited to be seated. Eventually we were.
Azaria: "When did you wake up?"
Colby: "I don't know I kinda woke up randomly and decided to go get breakfast"
I smiled. We ordered our food. I got pancakes and bacon and so did Colby. I let him steal my bacon though.
Azaria: "I want a new hoodie"
Colby rolled his eyes.
Colby: "Then I'm taking the other two back"
Azaria: "Deal"
He smiled at me.
Colby: "What do you want to do today?"
Azaria: "Hmm I don't know"
My phone started ringing and I realized it was my mom.
Azaria: "I'll be right back"
He nodded. I walked outside and answered the phone.
Azaria: "Hello?"
Mom: "Hi sweetie how have you been?"
Azaria: "Oh I've been good"
Mom: "I miss you! I was calling to see if you were going with us this year to the cabin"
Azaria: " Oh, of course I can't miss a year! I can stay a little while too. I've been busy here lately but I'm sure I can come down next week"
Mom: "Ok that's alright. Just come home as soon as you can."
Azaria: "I will mom"
Mom: "So Nate is back in town."
Azaria: "Really!"
Mom: "Yeah he came by the other day to see you. He is living with his mom for a little while"
Azaria: "I haven't seen him since he moved to New York..."
Mom: "Yeah he said he misses you and that he is sorry"
I was quiet for a second.
Azaria: "I have to go my... friend is waiting for me"
Mom: "Ok sweetie call me more often and try to come visit soon"
Azaria: "I will mom I love you"
Mom: "I love you too bye"
Azaria: "Bye"
I hung up and went back inside. Colby was texting someone.
Colby: "My friend Brennen invited me to go clubbing with him tonight you can come if you want"
I still haven't met Brennen.
Azaria: "Um I'll pass"
He frowned.
Colby: "Well then I'll stay with you we can do something"
Azaria: "No you go have fun with your friends"
He nodded. He paid and we left. We went back to my house. We got inside and he started messing with me. He poked me a couple times. Then started tickling me. I ran away from him and he caught me. He picked me up and carried me to my room. He threw me onto the bed and I laughed. He plopped down next to me.
Azaria: "Can we got back to sleep?"
Colby: "We have a meeting in two hours"
I groaned.
Azaria: "Whyyyy"
Colby: "Because we signed a contract"
I rolled my eyes.
Azaria: "Stupid contract..."
He laughed. He pulled me into his chest and I sighed. If not for the contract I would have never fallen in love with Colby...
