Chapter 30: The Truth Comes Out

It's been a few weeks and Colby and I have almost been dating for two months. We decided to put the meeting off even more now that Colby and I don't hang out much. I guess he's been busy but he barely even talk. Maybe he's losing feelings... Olivia came.  walking into my room and pulled me away from my thoughts. "Hey! You going to Sam's place tonight?" I took towards the clock. "Yeah let me get ready really quick" she nodded and left my room. I put my hair in two French braids. I didn't put on much makeup only mascara and lip balm. I put on black cargo pants with a sleeveless shit that I tucked into my pants. I added a Gucci belt and put on my old school vans. Olivia was waiting in the living room for me. "I'll drive!" I yelled making her look up from her phone. "Okay" Olivia and I got in my car and I drove us to Sam's apartment. We went up to his apartment and knocked. Kat opened the door. "Hi!" We hugged and she hugged Olivia while I went inside. I saw all of my friends but Colby wasn't here. I said hi to everyone before asking all of them, "Where's Colby?" They all looked awkward and looked at me with sympathy. "He's at his apartment" was all that Sam said. They changed the conversation pretty fast causing me to sit down on the couch and sigh. I haven't seen Colby in a while and I was hoping to see him tonight. Maybe I should just go over and see him. I quietly spoke to Jake, "Will you go over to Colby's place with me? We can maybe make him come here" he thought about it before agreeing. We said goodbye to them and Jake said something I didn't hear. I knocked on Colby's apartment door. We sat there for a couple minutes until he answered. He saw me and his eyes went wide. He glared at Jake. "Hey baby" I smiled at him. "Hey Colbs. I haven't seen you in a while." He had no shirt on and I looked at his abs. He looked like he has gotten stronger. "Who is it Colby?" I hear from his apartment. My heart dropped. A really pretty girl came up behind him. She made me look hideous. I noticed she was wearing his merch. I felt my heart hit the floor and shatter into pieces. She gave me a confused look. I shook my head. "Unbelievable" I turned away from the door. I walked back to Sam's apartment in silence. I was trying my best not to cry. I opened the door and everyone immediately looked at me. I slowly grabbed my bag and keys. "Azaria I'm so sorry" Kat said to me. They all knew? "So you guys all knew?!" They nodded. Even Olivia. "Here I was thinking you guys cared about me. I thought Colby loved me. Guess I was wrong. Thanks for making me look like an idiot." I turned and walked out of his apartment. Colby was waiting outside and he gave me a sad look. "Azaria let me explain..." "how long?" "What?" "How long Colby?" "Since we got back and I went to that party..." I felt a tear slip down my face. "I'm sorry..." his voice cracked and I knew he had started crying. "No Colby I am. I'm sorry that I broke the rules. I'm sorry that I fell for you. It's over Colby. We're over." I walked away leaving a broken Colby. I left my heart in the hallway in pieces. Tears uncontrollably flowed down my face. I had to get away. I got in my car and drove. I had no idea where I was going. I felt numb. Before I knew it, I was standing at the beach in front of the ocean. Our place was always the beach...
