Chapter 27: Back To LA

I guess we ended up falling asleep cause when I woke up it was dark outside. Colby now had his shirt off and had his arms wrapped around my waist. I slipped out of his arms and quietly left my room. I went down the stairs and saw my step dad sitting at the table with paper work in front of him. He looked up at me before going back to his work, "Well look who's up finally. Looks like you spent your last dad here well." I couldn't see his face but I know it had a disapproving look on it. I sighed and went to the fridge. I pulled out a piece of pizza and took a bite. "Whatever I've been here for two weeks I don't think one day of sleeping and spending time with my boyfriend is gonna matter. I have to fly out tomorrow morning anyway." "Your mom wanted to spend time with you today." "Yeah we'll we just got back from a tiring trip and I didn't sleep at all last night so give me a break." "That is no way to look at life. Your just making up excuses!" I rolled my eyes and looked to the stairs. Colby looked pissed off and I know one more word out of my step dad would set him off. I slightly shook my head as my step dad spoke. "No wonder your dad didn't stick around he couldn't stand your attitude!" And here comes Colby... he stomped down the stairs and my step dad looked up at him. "Don't you dare speak to my girlfriend like that! You aren't her real dad so your opinion shouldn't matter to her! At least her real dad actually talks and sends things to her even though she didn't see him. I've never seen you care about Azaria!" I put my hand on Colby's chest and he put his hand on my lower waist. I started pushing him away. My step dad sat back in his chair and looked at us. "Let's just go upstairs Colby..." he didn't say anything but he let me push him back to the stairs. We made it back to my room and I sat on my bed. "I hate him! I'm so glad to be leaving this place tomorrow!" Colby sat next to me and put his hand on my thigh, "Should we get ready and pack up?" All I did was nod. When we finished packing up we went back to sleep. I was woken up at 5am by my alarm. I sat up in bed and noticed Colby looking at me, "Ready to go back to LA?" I nodded my head, "More than ready." We showered together before getting dressed. I just put on my ripped blue jeans and Colby's purple hoodie. We finished getting ready. Colby had on black jeans and a white t shirt. We get babes our bags and head downstairs. I said bye to my mom and we met up with Olivia outside. She looked super tired. We said bye to Nate who agreed he would come visit us soon. We put our things in our Uber and headed to the airport. When our plane landed in LA I woke up Colby. "Whaaaaat?" "We just landed!" His eyes shot open and we got our things together. We got off the plane and collected our bags before heading to the lobby area. We went down the escalator and I saw all of our friends. They all noticed us and we ran over to them. We all hugged and said hi to each other before going to our cars. Colby and I rode with Sam and Kat. I think Olivia rode with Devyn. They dropped me off at my apartment and I kissed Colby goodbye. "I'll miss you baby!" "I'll miss you too Colbs" I smiled at him as I went inside my building and up to my apartment. Olivia arrived home soon after I did. "I miss him already!" Right when I said that he texted me:
Colby: I'll pick you up at 5
Azaria: can't wait baby
I put my phone down and decided to unpack and clean up. When I finished everything I realized it was 4pm. I took a quick shower before getting dressed. I put on a white crop tank top with plain black jeans and a big old jean jacket that I took from Nate a long time ago. Before long Colby texted me he was here. I grabbed my mini backpack and threw my phone and some other things in it before running down stairs. Colby's car was parked in front of my building. I got in the passenger seat and smiled when I saw him. I gave him a peck on the lips. "Hello beautiful" I smiled at him. "Hi Colby." We drove for about 30 minutes when we parked in an empty parking lot. "Let's go!" Colby said as he got out of the car. I got out too and caught up to Colby who was already walking away. I grabbed his hand and he smiled down at me. We walked a little ways before I realized we were at a private beach. We had to hop a fence. Colby helped me climb it before he joined me on the other side. We walked down the beach hand in hand for a little ways before messing around in a more private place. He started tickling me, "Colby! Stop!." I was giggling even after he stopped. We laid on the sand and watched as the sunset. "it's beautiful," I said as I sat up. "It sure is," Colby said but he wasn't looking at the setting sun. He was looking at me. I smiled and covered my face to hide my blush. He sat up with me and pulled me into his chest. "I love you Colby." "I love you too Azaria"
