The mind is a wonderful servant but a terrible master.

DG= dark guilds, in case you got confused.

~Lucy's POV

I held my head down as I walked next to Mira, Juvia, Wendy, and Jellal. I don't know where Jellal came from, and I don't care to ask either. But he had the uniform of Mystogan on. We were walking in the directions to our sky box for the arena. At least I think you call it that. The games DG began and now we were walking towards it. I could feel every stranger's eyes on us. As expected we were the only not dark guild and it made me nervous.

The arena was just like the one of the real GMG, but this one was black.

I saw someone pushing Wendy when I looked up. She fell on her butt as she glared at the person in front of her. If Wendy glares, it must be serious.

"What are you guys doing here?" the one who pushed Wendy said.

"We're participating," I said, snarling at him. Mira helped Wendy up as I felt everyone in the single hallway stop.

In my eye corners I saw a guy smirk. Truth be told, he's hot, with his brown hair and black eyes. He had the whole badass persona, pushing himself off the wall.

"They?" the pusher said in disbelief, and he looked at the smirking guy.

"Yup, they are, Harry," smirking guy said. He came to stand next to him. They had to be in the same guild.

"Do you think they stand a chance, Micheal?"

Jellal snorted, without a doubt feeling their magic power. It wasn't high.

"We'll see." He stepped forward and grabbed strands of my hair. "What do you think, Lucy Heartfilia? Do you think you got a chance?"

There is a difference with being confidence and being cocky. He's just being cocky.

I stepped back and slapped his hand away, glaring at him. Everybody here knows are name already, apparently. "You got something backing you up?" I asked, tilting my head.

"Of course, sweetheart."

I gagged, eyeing him disgustingly. I stepped next to my friends, who were all tense.

"If I were you, I would leave us the hell alone," Mira said, stepping forward while brushing my shoulder.

"Ah, the she-devil of the guild," Harry said. "Surprised they accepted a devil like you," he taunted.

Mira was clearly ready to commit a murder.

Suddenly Laxus was above Harry, who was pushed to the ground. "How dare you speak to her like that," Laxus whispered angrily.

Natsu pushed Micheal away while swinging an arm around my waist. "Just go to your little guild," Natsu said, scowling. "We will see who's the best."

Micheal and Harry scowled and turned around, walking away.

Immediately I felt the stranger's eyes leaving us. "You guys are late," Laxus said, eyeing every one of us.

"Erza is already going against someone," Natsu explained, dragging everyone forward. "She's beating the crap out of him. Really. This is the best the dark guild could offer?"

We went to the sky box. The participants with the replacements in case needed was next to the rest of the guild.

Erza had a dark look on her face. The whole audience booed as she was called out to be the winner.
