Don't stumble over something behind you.

~Lucy's POV

I went home after the magic council came to inspect it. We told them what happened and they rolled their eyes, saying something like: "Of course it's Fairy Tail again." Uhm rude much? Tch.

My eyes were still red as I sat in the train, on my way home. Nik and Hunter sat in front of me. The seats were facing each other.

Every time I think back, my eyes would get wet. A bruise was forming on my stomach.

Natsu...

I guess I could kinda forgive him, but my mind says I shouldn't. We have too much power over each other. Our feelings are growing harder each time, and when we lose control, it means we'd get hurt.

"Lucy," I heard a voice say in my mind.

"Aquarius," I said in my mind. I closed my eyes and saw Aquarius appearing in the black.

Another thing Natsu helped me with. Because of his support, I managed to have a telepathic link with my spirits... including with him. But so far, he didn't contact me, so I assumed he was still not in control.

"Are you okay?" she asked, her eyes worried but a scowl on her face.

"I'm fine," I bit out.

Her eyes softened before she looked away. "Natsu is rampaging through the celestial world. Just wanted to inform you."

My imaginary eyes went wide. "What?"

"Don't worry, brat," Aquarius said. "The Celestial King is working on it."

Then she disappeared and I opened my eyes again.

"You're back again," Hunter said. There was a table between us, with Hunter and Nik on the other side. He rested his chin in his palm, laziness colouring his eyes.

"I see Natsu still isn't in control."

"How?" I asked shocked.

"My magic, remember?"

Nik played with her drink. "Thank you guys so much. I know this isn't the right time, but thank you. I'll be forever in your debt."

"You're welcome," I said, immediately knowing how fake I sounded.

Her smile faltered a bit.

Hunter looked at me with those hypnotizing eyes.

"Sorry," I said grudgingly. I didn't mean to make Nik feel guilty for it. I don't blame her, but because of this rescue mission he was sent back. But I knew deep inside, that the day would have eventually come.

She brushed it off. "Honestly, I can't complain about you being a tiny little hostile with me. This wouldn't have happened if you didn't met me."

I shrugged sadly. "He would have lost control eventually. We were falling... hard. Seeing the imposter of me 'dead' triggered it."

She put her mouth in a tight line, guilt in her eyes. She grabbed my hands. "I'm sure he will come back."

"If mustache man allows it."

Truth is, I don't think he will. He warned us before, and now he got a perfectly reason to make him stay.

We got home and I directed Hunter and Nik to the guild. Without meeting my friends, I turned back and walked home.

I didn't feel like talking to them. They would ask where Natsu was, and right now, I didn't have it in me to explain.

Two weeks have gone by, and still no sign of Natsu.
