Note: These events mostly occurred before entering the Boros dungeon, but always keep in mind that time is wibbly wobbly.

~Tinstreet~

As the sun crept lower in the sky, a wagon pulled by a large red mule clopped down Tinstreet. The wind whipped and popped the flaps around the driver who sat on a seat above the mule. Seeing a clear spot amidst the various stands and patrons, he pulled his cart over and hopped down to feed his companion.

"Hey! You can't park that thing here!"

It was the owner of the tailor shop he'd stopped in front of. Lowering his hood and flipping back his cloak, the driver's appearance took the shopkeeper aback. His skin was a shade of deep crimson, with golden eyes dominating his face. Two curling, ram-like horns protruded from a mop of snow-white hair, each decorated with various rings and baubles as gold as his eyes. His cloak and robe were a shade of indigo, with the robe's lack of sleeves showing off two arms adorned with  golden tattoos of symbols representing at least a dozen languages. When he spoke, his voice was like honey.

"My apologies sir, I meant no harm," he said, extending a ringed hand to the shopkeeper, who nervously shook it. "Lucius is the name. I'll move the cart along in just a moment, but first I'd like to take a look at your fine wares. Tell me, do you have..."

His voice trailed off as he steered the man back inside. Unnoticed by most, the cart and mule remained there all through the night. As the sun rose on the next day, they were gone, and where the sign for the tailor normal hung, there was a new one. "Arcana Cabana: We have exactly what you need."

"I suspect that this is only the beginning stage of something, which is what really worries me. If it is, then what comes next? I'm not necessarily in the mood for mass destruction or some odd coal zombification of the general populace. I'm going to need to search for books or some sort of person who'd have a lead without giving much away. Although, if the hospitals don't have the books on this, I'll need more magical know-how, is my guess. Which also could point to me speaking with Uldin, as the Izzet could know of elemental side-effects. I still feel as though I'm missing pieces and that something else is brewing for all of us, though."

Estelle smiles cheerfully, "Hey, You all are the adventurers.  I'm sure you will find out more as you go around, but I'll keep my eyes out for odd coal zombies." She winks conspiratorially.

Kai chuckles at that. "Fair, enough, Estelle. I'll hold you to your word on that. And thank you again for meeting with me like this. I appreciate it. If you ever need anything besides the usual, please don't hesitate to ask."

"Certainly." She smiles and waves away the wind wall around the booth.

Kai says his goodbyes and makes a mental note to speak with Vic soon. After exiting the coffee shop, Kai heads in the direction of the most explosive guild in town.

"Well... I'm just trying to piece together some events right now. I wouldn't want to feed you anything I wasn't 100% about, so... Do you happen to know exactly how one goes about becoming a shade?"

There is a long pause that gives Dolion the feeling that Etrata is appraising him, until finally she speaks. "No"

She turns to walk down the hall past a row of ornately spiked columns, and she gestures for him to follow. "That secret, if we had it, would be a very important one.  A 'very' important one.  Imagine agents being able to phase through walls, travel into unreachable areas, observe unseen. Unfortunately we do not know how to make more of them."
