Session 15 - Angel Army

Roll Call: Arlen, Dolion, Eliodoro, Uldin, Kai, Kel

  Combat continues.

  Dolion rushes out from behind Arlen and takes a stab at the guard affected by Crown of Madness (Crowned). (Crowned) takes 16hp from the strike.

  Arlen sends a Fire Bolt at the other guard (IllusionPuncher), but whiffs the attack.

  (Crowned) is forced to swing his axe at (IllusionPuncher), but the attack is dodged. (Crowned), realizing he has no control of his arms, but does his feet, takes off running to the right of the staircase to get as far away as possible from (IllusionPuncher). As (Crowned) does this, he moves close by Dolion who stabs at him, but misses, and Arlen who hits him for 4hp. (Crowned) stops at the wall with the double doors. (IllusionPuncher), having noticed that the Crown of Madness spell is Eliodoro's doing, reaches around Kai to swing at Eliodoro with his great axe. It's a rather hard strike to hit, however. This one being very reckless and instinctual in nature. It does indeed miss its target.

  Uldin runs out of the staircase past Kai, and swings his staff at (IllusionPuncher). It connects dealing 8hp.

  Eliodoro moves to just behind Uldin and lets his concentration on Crown of Madness go. He casts a Chromatic Orb filled with lightning at (Crowned) from down the hall, dealing 16hp. He then runs over to the wall just opposite of the staircase.

  The party notices the tattoos on these men and think back to their history knowledge to realize that these belong to that of the Slizt Clan: a clan made up of mostly viashino and a few humans that love taking the high ground and ambushing their targets. This attack on the Garrison simply seems to be their latest conquest.

  Kai takes advantage of (IllusionPuncher)'s reckless swing on Eliodoro, and stabs into the man with a one handed trident. It pierces his skin, dealing 8hp.

  Kel exits the staircase and moves left down the hall to the grand staircase leading up to the roof. Kel casts Charm Person on (IllusionPuncher) and asks, "Hey, buddy! What's up?"

  "Oh, hey dude," (IllusionPuncher) replies. The charm seems to stick.

    Kel tells (IllusionPuncher) that (Crowned) was saying shit about his mother earlier. (IllusionPuncher) says that's in no way cool, but that (Crowned) is his bro. He can't get too angry at him.

  Dolion sprints over to the right wall that is now behind (Crowned). He leaps onto the wall, climbs high towards the ceiling, then leaps off, pointing his rapier towards (Crowned) as he falls. The attack easily catches him off guard and deals 10hp.

  Arlen readies another Fire Bolt, but this time gives it some pizazz. They lifts their leg high into the air and throw the bolt underneath. The bolt flies expertly through the air and hits (Crowned) square in the face for 15hp. The giant loin-clothed man falls to his knew, then slams into the ground.

  (IllusionPuncher) sees his friend from down the hall, and something in his mind throws up a red flag, but the conscious part of his brain remains unaffected. The Charm Person spell remains intact.

  Uldin tries to convince (IllusionPuncher) to allow himself to be tied up. He pulls out a rope and says "...need to see how hard it is to break."

  "That sounds dumb. Also you're an Izzet. Fuck the Izzet!"

  Eliodoro casts Sleep on (IllusionPuncher). The man yawns, but doesn't fall to sleep.

    Kai, too, tries to convince (IllusionPuncher) to allow himself to be tied up. "The Izzet have come upon rough times. Niv Mizzet hasn't been helping out like he should."
