●A Silent Detective●

12~Normal Situation

Conan and Kaito promised to meet again the next night and talk about the situation about the Black Organization. They both wanted to talk more but it was already getting late.
They both said their farewell to one another and went to rest for the next day.

~ Kaito's POV~
I woke up early in the morning as I hastily went to school and quickly finished my tasks and proceeded to rush out through the door when I noticed Aoko and Hakuba walking towards me with an odd expression on their faces.
I looked at them curiously as I tapped my foot.

" Hey guys, is there something wrong?" I asked plainly.

" No, nothing. It's just you seem to be very proactive today." Hakuba replied in an amused tone as Aoko nodded in agreement.

( I can't tell them I'm meeting Shinichi...nor the fact that he knows my identity and I know his involvement with the Black Organization.)

I looked at them with a grin on my face as I threw some confetti out of thin air and chuckled.

" Well, that's because I have a show to perform today and I'm gonna meet a person who wanted to talk to again for a long time."

Hakuba raised his eyebrow as he looked at me with suspicion.

" And who is this person?" He asked me with a smug look in his face.

( Tsk. He always ask a lot of questions..damn British detective.)

" Oh, no one that special. It's just the kid that Ran-chan brought to our school the last time she visited us." I replied with an innocent look on my face.

Hakuba huffed as he excused himself and left me with Aoko.

( Heh, he thought that it would be someone big...little does he know about the boy Edogawa Conan.)

" I should be going now, tell Conan-kun that I said hi." Aoko said as she went out of the classroom.

I proceeded to go home and prepare some of the things I would need if I will be disguising myself as a normal citizen or passerby. I sat on my bed after finished my preparations and started to wonder what's Shinichi's plan in order for me to hide from the organization.

( Does that mean I have to be absent from school for a long time? No, that would be suspicious..)

I gazed at the ceiling absent-mindedly as I thought about metantei-kun.

" I wonder what he's doing right now..."

I sat in my place for a while before I decided to visit him.

( Why am I even doing this? I'm sure he's fine but...I just can't wait to talk to him already..)

I proceeded to walk through the streets and passed by the park when I noticed a familiar boy with azure-colored eyes and glasses. I chuckled at the sight of the shrunken highschool detective surrounded by his friends.
I slowly approached them as Conan looked at me with relief as if I saved him from an uncomfortable situation. His friends looked at me shyly as they hid themselves behind Conan, except for one little girl with brown hair with a serious expression on her face.

I smiled at them as I looked at Conan.

" Is this your friends, Conan-kun?" I asked curiously.

He gazed at me with a smug grin before changing his expression with an innocent smile.

" Yes, they are my friends. What are you doing here, Kaito nii-san?" He asked in a child-like manner.

" I was just walking around since I have a lot of time to explore and do stuff the whole day." I said cheerfully as I looked at his friends, still hiding behind Conan.

" Hey, do you want to see a magic trick?" I asked them in a soft and welcoming voice.

They quietly nodded as I created bubbles with a transparent plastic bag.
They stared in awe as I continued to create more bubbles in the air.
I looked at the shrunken detective and smiled with amusement when he grinned and joined me with creating more tricks. After some time, they finally opened up and I discovered that they call themselves the Detective Boys.
I continued making new tricks until it was time for them to go home.

Conan and the little girl with brown hair stayed at the park before the girl whispered something in Conan's ear and left the park on her own.

( I-is that safe..?)

I looked at Conan with concern as he checked the time on his watch.

" Hey..is it alright for her to go home on her own?" I asked wearily.

" It' alright, she's actually a grown woman who was shrank by the drug as well. She was the one who created the pill but was forced to create it because of the organization's order..good thing is that she shrank herself and started hiding with me away from the organization." He replied hastily as he grabbed my hand and we proceeded to go to his place.

He rushed through the library section and took a bunch of papers and proceeded to sit on the couch.

" Umm..what are you doing Shinichi?" I asked as I observed him writing something on the piece of paper.

" I 'm trying to think of a way to trick the organization in order for you to stay alive in some way.." He replied while still writing on the paper.

He quickly finished writing on the paper and started to stare at me with observant eyes.

" Uhhh..why are you staring at me like that?"

" Do you have any equipments that you use as Kaito Kid right now?" He abruptly asked without even answering my question.

" Yeah, I always carry some with me just in case...why?"

I looked at him curiously before he stood up and handed me the piece of paper that he was writing.

( So...this is the plan...huh..)

The detective looked at me with satisfaction as I nodded in agreement with the plan.

" This next heist will be interesting."
