"Ashley!!" Sophie calls out. I turn around and I am met with her fierce glare.

"Hey, you alright kitten" Caleb asks and I nod

"You know I don't understand why you run away from that idiot every fucking time.  Once in a while stand your ground and give him a glare too" Sophie tells me practically shouting and making everyone that's passing by to stare at us

"Give her a break Soph"

"No I won't she needs to stand up for herself once in a while, she can't let that fool treat her like garbage all the time"

Caleb starts to say something but I interrupt him by placing a hand on his palm

I can tell that Soph is really angry but she's only angry for my own good and I get it "its fine Cay, she's right and i'm sorry guys. I'll try to be better I promise" I look down at my feet

"Hey, it's cool. We understand" Caleb says while nudging Soph with his elbow

"Fine I accept your apology and you better make good of that promise because this isn't the first you said you'll change" she says

"Soph!"

"What?? Please don't give me that tone Cay, you know I'm right." She says while rolling her eyes  "Anyways let's get moving bitches, we have a class to attend"

I smile at them both as we all walk into our English class while Cay and Soph keep arguing. My day hasn't been that bad so far.

Well my happy streak lasted until I remembered I had a class with Dylan later that morning. I don't share the period with any of my best friends so I'm always left to the mercy of Dylan. I brace myself up for the inevitable and convince myself that I can survive just one class.

Unfortunately for me I get into class late that day and of course there's only two available seats left and two missing people. Dylan and I. I trudge to one of the tables and sit on it, I can swear that my mates intentionally leave those seats open so that we can end up sitting beside each other because why else do we end sitting in the same row everytime.

Dylan comes into the class and strides to the seat with a little frown on his face. He sits down and our teacher starts teaching.

He doesn't do anything for the first few minutes and I thought today was going to silent but I spoke too soon. A folded piece of paper lands on my table and I open it "You look different today" is what is written on the paper. I look up and raise a brow at Dylan, what is he getting at and then he passes another note "You look a little bit more ugly today, did you take a shower or even take a look at the mirror this morning"

I had barely finished reading this when another note is thrown at me, I ignored it and another lands on my table which I also ignore and then he whispers to me "You should invest in good deodorant little one, you smell like fish"

That's when my patience runs out and shout "Stop being a stupid asshole Dylan" he looks taken aback for a minute before he adjusts his expression and smirks a little

"If I don't, what are you going to do about it little one?" He asks

"For the one hundredth time, my name is not little one and if I hear one more insult from you again I'm going to kick you hard in your balls that you won't be able to walk upright again in your life. Let's see what that does for your cockiness, you insufferable bastard" At that the whole class goes up in a 'ohhhh' and that's when I realise we had been speaking a bit too loud.

"Miss Ashley and Dylan to the principal's office now" I stare at Miss George for a minute.

"Miss, he started it-" I started to say but she cuts me off

"I don't want to hear anything from you both" she says and hands me a note. Dylan doesn't seem too concerned maybe because he's a regular customer at the principal's office. I can't believe I got sent there.

I glare at Dylan as we walk out the class

"Stop looking at me like that, you were the one shouting for the whole class to hear you. Acting like a drama queen, now we are in trouble because of you"

I stop at his words "Because of me?? You were the one who started it, how is it my fault big foot? Care to explain?"

"I don't have the strength to deal with you, let's just get this over with. I don't think I can stand you any longer" with that, he shoves his hands in his pockets and strides ahead towards the principal's office. I just stand there watching his back and decide that no matter what punishment I get I didn't regret the insult I hurled at him and with that I continued down the hall towards the office.
