The hate game

When we get home, I fling myself on the bed and sleep off. I hadn't slept for at least 10 minutes when my mom barged into my room.

"What is it mom" I manage to open my eyes and say to her.

"Darling aren't you going to get out of that dress?" I sit up properly and I can tell from the look on her face that, that was not the reason she came to my room "Spill it mum" I say to her and she sighs

"An emergency came up at work and-" she begins "-and you have to go" I complete her statement for her.

"It's okay, I knew you weren't going to stay long by the way, you never do" I say to her and she steps forward, I know what's she's about to do and I stop her "Don't!!! Just go, I don't need you to tell me you are sorry or anything, just leave me alone" Pissed now, I stand up and move to the bathroom for a cold shower.

By the time I'm done the house is silent, they must have gone. I go to my closet, grab a big shirt and throw over my body. I grab my phone from my desk where it was charging, I can't sleep anymore, let me look through my Instagram feeds. I see a message popup on my screen.

Unknown: Yo, are you awake???
Me: Yes I am. Who is this by the way.
Unknown: It's me Dylan, I'm sorry for the way I treated you the other time. I had some issues at home before coming to school and I guess I just poured all of my frustrations on you.
Me: Really?? Anyways I thought you said I was going to destroy your reputation and you humiliated me in front of the whole school, why are you texting me now.
Unknown: Look I said some shitty stuffs that day and I'm really sorry for the kiss. Can you forgive me? I miss our time together. By the way I'm I still welcome as your fellow cleaner?😁.
Me:*sighs* I was going to meet Principal Bourneface to know if we can split the cleaning but since you already begged, then I forgive you.
Dylan: Thanks b. I don't mean to overstep my boundaries but can I take you out for lunch or dinner tomorrow anyone that is fine by you.
Me: Wow, I didn't expect that. Will you be cool with being seen with me outside.
Dylan: I thought we were over that already. Look you are a very cool person to be with and I don't know why I messed up at first but now I've  learnt and I want to be your friend.
Me: Okay, I will just check my schedule and let you know later.
Dylan: Thanks. Why are you not asleep by the way.
Me: I just woke up. I slept off while watching a movie this evening.
Dylan: Oh cool, what's the name of the movie
I panic at first but then I remembered that I was about to watch a movie when they came(I mean my parents).
Me: I was watching to All the boys I've ever loved.
Dylan: That movie is actually nice but I don't watch things like that, I prefer other things.
Me: Obviously. I gotta go, I'm going to text you my address and when I'm available.Bye👋

This is absolutely weird, Dylan coming up to me like that. I will have to call Soph and ask her of her opinion on this later. I drop my phone and go back to sleep.
