-Author's POV-

(Y/n) decided to head straight to the 6th floor music room, wanting to release some of her anger. She refused to speak to anyone she encountered on her way. Some brave students would spit out a rude remark directed to her when she passed them, but their remarks went inside one ear and out the other. (Y/n) wasn't in the mood to deal with their attitude right now, seeing that she had just caught her boyfriend of two years snogging with another girl.

(Y/n) harshly slid the door of the music room open and was met with Alice and Satoshi sitting on the floor, playing cards with their schoolbags sitting beside them (They decided to skip their first class because Math had always been their least favorite subject, something that they both agreed upon for once).
They snapped their attention away from their game and towards the girl who had slammed the door open.

"(Y/n), hey!! Here to skip class too?" Alice excitedly waves towards her friend but stopped when she noticed the angry expression on her face.

Alice's smile falters and turned into a worried frown as she stands up from the ground, walking towards (Y/n) who gently closed the door behind her.

     "What's wrong?" she asks.

Satoshi placed his cards on the floor and went to join the conversation.

"Did you find Erin?" he questions, clueless about what had happened back in the gymnasium.

(Y/n) couldn't help but flinch upon hearing his name, biting her lower lip she felt the tears in her eyes coming back and sliding down her (S/c) cheeks.

"..I did," she shakily mumbles under her breath, trying to wipe her tears away but they kept coming back until she found it hard to breathe.
Her friends rushed to her side and supported her. Satoshi rubbed comforting circles on the girl's back while Alice wraps her arms around (Y/n) in which she returns with a bone-crushing hug.

"I'm sorry, I— I should've listened to you, Alice." hiccups the crying girl, tightening her hold on her friend with every word.
She waited for an 'I told you so' coming from Alice but nothing came, she never got one. Instead, Alice started brushing (Y/n)'s hair in order to calm her down.

"I found him inside the storage room with— with another girl." (Y/n) struggled to explain.

"..It was Dianne, he was kissing her. S-She was on top of him and.. he- he didn't make any move to push her away. Not until he saw me by the door."

Alice sent Satoshi a look in which he returned with one of his own. She rolled her eyes, knowing from the start that Dianne was bad news.
But she wasn't going to shove that on Satoshi's face nor (Y/n)'s because that would be a dick move.

     "Let it all out, (Y/n)."

The whole room went silent after that, (Y/n)'s sobbing amd hiccups being the only thing heard while they keep comforting her by keeping the crying girl close to them. They wanted to let her know that she wasn't alone, that it was going to be alright.

The silence was soon broken when the sound of the door sliding open was heard. The three friends turned their attention towards the newcomer.
It was Erin Himiko in the flesh and the mere sight of him made the atmosphere around them drop degrees.

(Y/n) felt Alice moving away from her and without a warning, she pushed past Satoshi who didn't react and simply pulled (Y/n) closer to him in order to shield her from Erin's view.

"You loathesome filthy little scumbag!" Alice seethes, approaching Erin and grabbing his collar harshly with her free hand curled up into a threatening fist.
But Erin didn't react to the harsh insult at all. No. Instead, he stared at (Y/n) with a look of betrayal as soon as he saw her being held by Satoshi. The thought of her moving on from him so fast angered him, but he refused to show it.
He tried his best to look hurt instead, hoping that if would gain a bit of (Y/n)'s sympathy. He was looking like a puppy that was kicked by its own owner.

But (Y/n) knew better, she refused to give in to his stare and simply gave him a cold glare. He didn't have the right to act hurt now. Not after she caught him making out with another girl.

"(Y/n), please let me explain. There seems to be a—"

"A what? A misunderstanding?" (Y/n) croaks out weakly, her glare turning harsher than before which made Erin's heart drop.

"Oh please, you could've made a better sentence than that. And last I checked, Himiko, I wasn't blind. I saw you kissing her back with my own two eyes." she rants on and made sure that she didn't give Erin a chance to speak.

"Bet you enjoyed that, didn't you? If that's the case then i'm letting you do what you want." (Y/n) says lowly.

"We're over. I don't want you anywhere near me, I don't want anything to do with you." she announced louder than her previous volume.

     "(Y/n)—"

"Have you gone deaf? Leave." (Y/n) demanded coldly, pointing towards the door.
Alice lets go of Erin's collar and made sure to shove him back, but it didn't affect him much.

"You haven't even listened to what I had to say."

"We don't want to hear it. Just leave before things get messy." Satoshi warned which made Erin snap his attention towards him, a dark look overcoming his features.
The two started a silent glaring contest but it didn't last long since Erin decided to look away first.
He sent (Y/n) one last dejected look before turning away and walking off in utter defeat.

As soon as he was gone from their sight, (Y/n) finally lets out the breath that she was holding the entire time. She felt herself slowly deflate like a balloon in Satoshi's arms, her previous bravery that she showed in front of Erin disappearing in an instant. The poor girl started shaking as she clung onto the green haired male for dear life.

"You did great, (Y/n)." Satoshi whispered comfortingly on the girl's ear which lifted her spirits up just a tiny bit, but it helped nonetheless.

"Thanks. I'll need some time to proccess what just happened." she sighs, wiping a stray tear away.

"We'll be with you if you need someone." Alice joined them.
(Y/n) started to feel better, but not well enough to go back to class so they decided to stay inside the music room instead of attending their classes.
Alice and Satoshi were kind enough to stay with her the entire time, talking to her and trying to distract her from what had just happened.
They even played cards after they got bored of just talking. The time the three friends spent together was enough to make (Y/n) temporarily forget about the break up.

She had been so focused on Erin for the last two years that she forgot the feeling of having fun with her friends. Maybe it's better this way. She can survive without a man in her life, as long as she has her brother and her friends by her side.

Though, I can't say the same for Erin. I don't think he's ready to live a life without (Y/n). Even though he didn't want to admit it, he grew rather fond of the girl's presence. It only took getting caught for him to realize that.
Such a fool he was, but the damage was already done. He can only move on now and continue his prince like facade in order to lure in more flies into his web.

No, (Y/n)'s not one of those pesky flies. She's the butterfly that managed to escape the spider's web.
If that's the case, I don't think this little spider is too happy about the butterfly's escape.

Author's End Note;
