4; the party pt. 1

it was nearly time for the party. it was currently 5:30, and Amber decided to come over to get ready with Rhi.

"this will be one epic party. especially now that you're going," Amber said with a smile, and Rhi smiled back. she really hoped so. the only reason she was going was because she'd have Amber there to be with her.

right now Amber was applying some heavy mascara onto Rhi's eyelashes, followed by bronzer, highlights, and eyeshadow. lipstick would soon come last.

Amber had already done her own makeup, and was more than excited to do Rhi's. "i love this new look on you! damn, you look so flawless with makeup on babe. i wish you could wear some more everyday," she said with a wink, while Rhi rolled her eyes and chuckled. "we'll see about that. for now, let's get this party over with."

next was the outfit. Amber had brought along some clothes from her own wardrobe, and had happily announced that Rhi could keep whatever outfit that she decided to go with. Amber also said that "neutral colors just wouldn't cut it for tonight."

after Rhi decided to wear a beige crop top t-shirt with ripped red leggings, and some cute brown boots, Amber nearly screamed. "I LOVE IT!! yep, you are totally keeping this outfit after the party."

Rhi burst out laughing, and it was the hardest she had ever laughed in a long time. she seriously didn't know what she would do without Amber.

but when Rhi looked in the mirror, she could truly see why Amber had freaked out. the floor length mirror showed a tall and beautiful girl with flawless smoky makeup, a wildly hot outfit, and hair flattened to perfection. she looked... basic? But she still looked pretty good in her own opinion.

"i think this could be a major breakthrough for you," Amber whispered in her ear, and Rhi was still mesmerized by her reflection, hardly hearing her friend utter those words.

"my mom should be ready any moment. she just said that she needed to take her scrubs off," Rhi said to Amber as they waited in the living room.

an hour and thirty minutes later, Rhi's mom had come home and was now getting ready to take the girls to the party. she was still extremely ecstatic for Rhi, and so was Amber.

"ok gals, i'm ready! sorry for the wait." Jenny walked downstairs wearing a casual outfit, then led the girls outside and they got into the car. Rhi was still feeling nervous about the party. how would the popular kids react when they saw her? would they even recognize her in this sexy new transformation? she both hoped they did and hoped they didn't.

fifteen minutes passed by way too quickly for Rhi, and they pulled up to James Buchemi's house. it was bigger than Rhi thought it would be. there was a driveway with at least twenty cars parked in it, a giant fountain in the middle of it, and the house was massive. looked like there would be a lot of popular kids here tonight.

"wow, this house is huge," Jenny muttered. "you girls have fun. Rhi, you tell me whenever the party is over and i'll come pick you up. Amber, do you have a ride home?"

"yes ma'am, my mom told me she'd come by," Amber said with a polite smile, and Jenny nodded. "well alright then. you girls go on inside before it gets too crowded!"

Amber pulled Rhi out of the car, and now that she was standing in front of this massive house, she felt like she would throw up.

she was about to turn around and call her mom back, but she was already at the other end of the street. she always drove so fast.

"come on, are you ready? this will be awesome!" Amber cried, and Rhi nodded. "yeah, i just feel a little nervous. i've never been to a party this big before."

Amber turned to her and placed her hands on Rhi's shoulders with a serious look in her eyes. "i will be with you the entire time. i will never, and i mean NEVER leave you here alone, alright? i know how nervous you get in these situations, and i'm here to stay with you till the end. no matter how cute a boy is, i won't let him lead me away from you."

Rhi smiled and laughed, then a sighed. "ok. i feel a little better now. i don't think i'd be able to handle all this on my own."

"don't worry. we have to get inside now before we freeze out here."

they walked up the long driveway, winding through all the fancy cars of the popular kids, and Amber knocked on the door.

a tall and very handsome boy with tan skin and dark hair answered the door. his eyes widened when he saw Amber. "oh, Amber! i'm so glad you could come! welcome to my party."

oh, so this was James Buchemi.

Amber smiled and nodded, then linked her arm through mine. "yes, and this is my BEST friend, Rhiannon West. she's my little sidekick tonight. Rhi, this is the honorable James Buchemi."

as if noticing her for the first time, James turned his green gaze over to Rhi. "well. i didn't know you had such a hot friend, Am. welcome to my party, Rhiannon."

"he's so hot, right?" Amber whispered to her as they walked in and were out of earshot from James.

Rhi nodded once, not seeming very interested, but in order to please her friends she pretended to feel flustered and Amber laughed.
