* The Next Day *

"Get up Gray!" shouted my mother from the other side of my room door.

"Mom... I feel sick." I mumbled.

"Don't lie and get done for school." she said and walked away.

"Ugh , great." I mumbled. "Well it was worth a try." I said as I got out of bed.

When I got to school I found out Levona was absent because she had some appointment with an orthodontist or something like that.

And today was my interval and afternoon detention. Oh shit , I forgot to tell my mom.
I quickly whipped out my phone but I didn't see the teacher aprroaching.

"I'll take that Mr Alexander." said Mr Greene , my math teacher , as he took my phone out of my hand.
"You know the school rules , no cellphones!"

"Yes sir but I need it to tell my mom I have an afternoon detention today." I pleaded.

"Then you go to the office and ask the secretaries if you can phone your parents , but you're not allowed to have a cellphone at school." he said.

"Yes sir." I said as I looked down at my shoes.

"You can get your phone at the end of the week." said Mr Greene and walked away.

"Ugh fuck , why did I take my phone out." I scolded as I face palmed myself.

I made my way to the office to ask one of the secretaries if i can phone my mom.

"Sure. Here you go." said the secretary as she handed me a phone.

Ring. Ring. Ring.

"Hello?" said the voice on the other side of the line.

"Hey mom , it's Gray. I forgot to tell you yesterday that I have an afternoon detention today. I'm sorry I forgot. And also uhm... my phone got confiscated until the end of the week."

"Gray , im very disappointed in you! Why did you get a detention?" she asked.

"For not doing my homework..." I said softly.

"But you told me that you had no homework. You're grounded for 2 weeks."

"That's not fair!" I said a little too loudly as the secretary shot me a weird look. I just smiled back at her.

"Do you want it to be 3 weeks?" she asked

"No no , I'm fine." I said quickly.

"What time must I fetch you from detention?" she asked.

"Uhm , im not sure. I'm gonna ask the secretary now." I said.

"Sorry miss , what time does afternoon detention finish?"

"Half past 4." she said bluntly.

"It finishes at half past 4 mom." I said.

"Ok , I'll see you later then. Bye Gray." she said.

"Bye mom." I said and hung up.

* TIME SKIP *

* bell rings signalling it's interval *

As I was about to walk to my spot in the field I remembered I had an interval detention as well. "Ugh damn , I completely forgot." I said and turned back.

It was my first time getting an interval detention.

As I arrived at the room , there was a teacher with a list of names and a line of students. The students were already making there way into class so I quickly joined the back of the line.
