chapter 27: fun

The periods before lunch time seemed to take forever and it wasn't the best subjects. Afrikaans, math and more math. Lunch finally came and Jesse and I made our way to the shady spot outside Mr Park's class where my friends are.

"Are you going to tell them." I ask him.

"Yeah." he says as we get to where they are.

"Hey guys." I greet as I sit next to Tony who has his arm around Layyah.

"Hey Gray." they greet simultaneously.

I take out my lunch box and notice the marshmallows and oreos. Thanks mom but oh no...

"Oreos!" scream Layyah as she gets out of Tony's arm. This child and oreos. I don't bother saying anything and just give her the oreos.

"Thank you." she says sweetly with a smile.

"Yeah yeah." I respond. "So guys, Jesse has something to say."

"So... I'm moving back to Italy in 3 weeks." he deadpans.

"WHAT?!" shouts everyone together.

"And i will only be back in a couple months, maybe even years..." he continues.

"So what's gonna happen with your relationship?" asks Tony.

"We're gonna try and have a long distance relationship." says Jesse.

"Are you sure it will work out? I mean, that's a long time." asks Shauna.

"We believe our love is strong enough, and we will keep in contact every single day." I reply.

"Are you sure you want that, after what happened last time?" whispers Layyah.

"You don't need to whisper, he knows." I whisper back. "And yes I'm sure." I say before getting up. "I'll be right back." I say as I start walking away.

"Where are you going?" asks Jesse.

"Bathroom." I say without looking back.

On my way to the bathroom I notice the familiar faces of the two bullies who I haven't seen sence I exposed Tiana. She looks so depressed and i can't help but feel bad. I walk up to her and when she notices my presence she doesn't even insult me or attack me, she just looks really sad.

"Hey Tiana." I greet softly.

"What the fuck do you want?" hisses Sasha bitterly, her eyes shooting daggers at me.

"Um, I just want to say I'm really sorry for what I did to you the other day. Yes i was fed up with you but that doesn't justify my actions. I can't imagine what you must be going through. I don't expect you to forgive me but I just want you to know that I'm really really sorry. If there's anything I can do to help, just let me know." I say before walking to the bathroom.

The rest of the day felt like it was being dragged out and we were told exams are starting next week, great. 2 weeks of constant studying. *eye roll*. I go to my seat on the bus and see I have a message from Jesse.

After a long bus ride and a few minutes of getting done I was on my way to Jesse's house.

I knock on the door and i'm greeted by Jesse in all his shirtless glory. Mamma Mia.
