Ares woke up with the sun beating on to his face , he sitted on the fur he had laid at night , thanking Hypnos for the exquisite sleep he had , but looking to his side he saw neither Moirae nor Athena, so he got up and went out of the tent.
As soon as Ares got out , he saw the three Moirae outside the hut but no sign of Athena, so he tried to ask where the brunette had gone, so the Moirae pointed him toward a lake as they said. He ran to the place , for some reason he didn't know he didn't want to leave her all by herself .
" Athena ?"- Ares asked for her as he got to the shore of the lake that was close to the camp
He looked from side to side but didn't see her on the lakeshore, but when he turned to look at the lake his blood ran cold, he saw a white body, facing downwards, a body he would recognize anywhere.
In an act of pure protective extinct he ran off his boots and top of his garment and without thinking twice jumped into the water. Quickly he came close to the body but before he could get it out the water, the body jerked abruptly.
Ares went to the surface just like Athena and as soon as he opened his eyes he noticed the startled expression on her face, then realized that she had nothing covering her body, something that in the heat of the moment he had not noticed before.
" LOOK THE OTHER WAY , YOU PERVERT ."- Athena shouted and Ares complied immediately
" I'm sorry , the hags told me you were here ."- Ares said looking to the shore of the lake
" Then get out of here ."- Athena
" It's not the most wise think to be alone ... especially in this kind of situation ."- Ares
" I think I can take of myself Ares , you're the one with a injured sword hand ."- Athena
" Good , so I'll get back to the camp ."- Ares
" Good ."- Ares
Athena plunged into the water so that only her head was sticking out, and when she heard the noise of water moving she turned to see, Ares stunned returning from where he presumably would have come from, she couldn't help but smile in her face , but soon she shoke it off and returned to bathe.
Tormented Ares returned to the camp without realizing that his cheeks were rosy, when he came back and saw the smile on the tree hags' face he knew she had heard, or even predicted what would happen.
" You knew about it didn't you ?"- Ares asked
" Well..."- Lachesis
" TELL ME , the truth for once you old hags !! "- Ares demanded
" Huh ."- Clothos chuckled
" What are you laughing about ? If I tear out your eyes you won't find it that funny !"- Ares
" Did you see her ?"- Atropolos
" Of course I saw her , she shouted at me ."- Ares
" No , not like that you twit ."- Atropolos
" You called me what !?"- Ares
" Did you ' see ' her ."- Clothos said making quotes with your fingers
" Let me just get this your asking , if I saw her naked self ?"- Ares asked closing his eyes
" Ohhh honey you don't have to answer, for the red that covers your cheeks you got a good gush."- Lachesis blinked
" Yes, I saw her ."- Ares said looking back at the fates
" Good ."- Atropolos
" You wanted this to happen , didn't you !?"- Ares
" Well honey , we're not going to be the one's to dream with her red lips , rosy nipples and ..."- Lachesis
" AHHHH LALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALA ! I'M NOT HEARING YOU ."- Ares shouted as he couvered his ears
But it was too late, no matter what he did, as amusing as his distraction was, his mind drifted back to Athena's body that now seemed to be tattooed on his mind. Her beautiful but shy smile, her white body that was quite different from the Greek beauty standard, but still a rare beauty, her black hair, her grey eyes , that had a little blue in them and her rosy nipples and ... ahhh it was to much .
Ares made a fire outside the tent and night fell, and no sign of Athena. Ares tried not to worry about her, but she arrived shortly after the sun went down, with two fish in her hands, he realized she wasn't bitter about what happened.
" So do you think , they are going to eat with us ?"- Athena
" I don't think so ."- Ares
" That's alrigth , cause I want to talk to you ."- Athena
" Hey , if it's because of this morning , I did knew you were there , bathing ... "- Ares
" It's alright I know there tricky ways ."- Athena
" So ..."- Ares
" Let's eat first and talk later ."- Athenas
