Night fell in the forest, and the temperature dropped, a torrential rain began to fall again, the night they all lodged in the tent trying to sleep , and trying to ignore the thunder sounds form outside, but then Athena heard the sound of chattering teeth.
She turned and saw Ares' body shaking. They were lying in the same fur, because Ares said he would rather kiss Medusa than have to lie beside those tree hags. Athena turned and then she was getting close to him, and when she touched his back, Ares tensed his muscles .
" Are you , alright ?"- Athena asked
" Yyyyyyyyyeeeessss."- He said shivering
" Don't lie to me ."- Athena
" Yes , I ammmm."- Ares
" Sleep near me ... we can get ourself warm . "- Athena
" No thank you ."- Ares
" Ares if we don't help each other , the chances of us dying are ..."- Athena
" Aaatheenna , would you please stop over analyzing every single fucking expect of my life , like the Olivehead you are , and goooo tooo sleep ."- Ares said trembeling
Gods , Ares really knew how to piss her off but even though he was denying her help for a number of reasons, which she had already listed in her head as, male ego, and afragile masculinity , she decided to ignore his provocations.
She lay beside him enveloping his body with hers that was , she first hugged his torso and his arms that were shrunken, and her breath beat against the nape of Ares neck .
" I told you I didn't need your help ."- Ares
" Ares , I trully don't care . I don't know why you don't want my help , but if the only way of making you except it , is by forcing you to accept, I'll do it even if it's the last thing I wish to do . "- Athena said nuzzling her nose at his hair
" Being so light hearted is not much of your way ."- Ares
" Drastic times call for drastic measures."- Athena
" So dramatic ."- Ares said with a little chuckle
" I'm the dramatic one , your there shaking more than Apollo when he can't find his lyre, if I'm dramatic then you were born to the theater. "- Athena
" Haha."- Ares chuckled again , and turned to face Athena
Her eyes sparkled in the dark of the night, even though he could see her face, her eyes were the most prominent of her features.
" And now your laughing at my jokes ... we are clearly in a bad situation ."- Athena
" I always thought you were a funny person, but not the kind most people understand, your jokes are subtle but very clever. I just didn't laugh at them because ..."- Ares
" We are enemies ."- Athena
" Yeah ."- Ares whispered
" You know , in the last day I , kept thinking , how much we have lost by ... being enemies . "- Athena
" We are two sides of a coin , we were ment to not get along ."- Ares
" But want if we were not , if we were alone wouldn't we be able to do what we've been doing , if the others didn't exist ."- Athena
" In that your right ."- Ares
" I'm sorry ."- Athena
" For what ?"- Ares
" I'm sorry , in the last days I haven't been a much emotional help , and I'm just ... I'm acting like a cold hearted bicth . Because of your curent situation , and I have no right to discount it on you Ares . "- Athena said
She had never talked about herself in that way , and that stunned Ares , she was always pridefull and never been self-criticizing in front of him, Ares thought she might have an ego as inflated as his, but Athena just didn't want to look weak.
" You shouldn't talk about yourself like that . And you sholdn't ask so much for forgiveness . " -Ares said
" How could I blamed you , as if it was your fault , that we're in this mess when none of us are to blame." - Athena
"Athena ... I'm sorry . I should have listened to you in the underworld ."- Ares
" It's not your fault , you were trying to help . And what was your punishment , being married to me ... literally the last person you'd wanted to be married to ."- Athena
" That's not true . I wouldn't want to be married to those old hags , and ... I mean marrying ... a Gorgon also wouldn't appel to me ." - Ares said
Athena knew he was trying to lighten the mood , and she apreeciated it , so she gave him a little laugh .
" I just think in what are we going to do . How are we going to be safe after all this ?"- Ares
" We ? Are , both of us already a we ?"- Athena
" I don't know are we ?"- Ares
" Well I have some ideas , we can go to some new place , and wait until father is calmer ."-Ares
"I don't think his fury will so easily be subsided ."- Ares
" Maybe we should think of that tomorrow . "- Athena
" Yeah I think so ."- Ares
" So good night ."- Athena
" Good night Olivehead ."- Ares
"Did you just callled me Olivehead again ?"- Athena gronned
" Maybe ."- Ares
" I'm considering not killing you at your sleep , little brother ."- Athena
