Waking up to the sun's light was something Athena didn't do that often , she always got up before sunrise to start training, but the exhaustion of the previous night had completely taken her, but that wasn't the thing that gave her the chills, but the body that was equally on slumber.
Ares's body wasn't as naked as her body, but still enough to make a stupid virgin sigh, but she wasn't a stupid virgin. So she decided she was going to continue that day like any other.
She pick up her tunic and dressed, being careful not to wake Ares or Moirae, whom she had not seen returning to camp the night before, but that could be a question later, she left the tent, and felt the floor still a little wet , so she headed for the lake .
She went to the lake there she undressed, realizing that there were some red spots on her body, her breasts were still a little red at the tip where Ares had... had given her so much pleasure the night before.
Athena sighed, closing her eyes, remembering what she had known the night before, and how she felt herself not only owning herself, but felt revered as she had never felt before, but still she wondered how that might be harmfull, for feeling that way.
But her thoughts returned to her vow, if being chaste meant not feeling that good, then she no longer wanted to be a virgin who didn't know love, she cursed her father, by making her swear chastity, he knew how she would feel , but even so out of pure and blind selfishness, he decided to spare his daughter something so wonderful.
The goddess felt angry towards her father, so she soon jumped into the freezing water of the lake, which somehow always brought her back to herself, the reason she began to bathe when she felt the waves of the lake changing as if something equal or even larger then her had entered the aquatic body.
She let her head go to the surface and then just her head she saw no one on the surface but a human body swimming close to her, and soon her brother left to the surface.
Athena sank her torso into the water and realizing that Athena was hiding Ares, did the same just by letting her , neck , head and collar stick out of the freezing water.
" You didn't wake me up ."- Ares said
" I know , miss sunshine doesn't like to be woken up , other wise you have bad mood swings ."- Athena
" Well , if you'd wake me up , I wouldn't be that pissed off ."- Ares
They were silent for a moment , each one looking at the other , memorizing the details of her face, Athena already knew that Ares had a small scar beside his eye, she remembered that it was caused by a glass that Zeus had thrown at him in a moment of rage when he was still just a boy or so she was told .
But she also remembered a scar he had on his shoulder, this one of her doings, made in the field of a battle between Sparta and Athens no more than 10 years earlier .
And he had seen the grey eyes of the godess of wisdom, there was a little bit of blue in the middle of the grey sea of her eyes, something he might have been aware of last night,but hadn't realized because of the intensity of the feelings involved, that clounded his judgment, which was already pretty irresponsible.
But he had also seen a red mark that lay on her neck, which was so clear on Athena's white skin, he knew it was of his doing, and it put a little smile on the face of the war god, who was now more at peace than he had ever been before in his life .
" We need to talk ."- Athena said
" Yes , we do ."- Ares
" I'm not talking about that ."- Athena
" What are talking about then ?"- Ares
" We have to go home ."- Athena
Ares sighed and closed his eyes, Athena already knew that when she broached this subject Ares would not answer in the most joyfull way possible, but he knew that they would have to return a time or another, or his father would find his safe haven and nothing would be left.
" I knew this was coming someday ."- Ares
" I know it's not a pleasant topic , but we have to go back ."- Athena
" I know , but what will be of us ... are we going to hate each other again ?"- Ares
" Why do you worry ?"- Athena
" I just ... I feel a surten way when we are here , alone , and I don't want to lose that , I want us or what ever we are , to be as we are here . "- Ares
" You talk about our marrige ?"- Athena
" Yes ."- Ares
" Don't worry, even if Zeus wants to dissolve our marriage, he won't ."- Athena
" Why ?"- Ares
" Cause as I see , both of us want this ."- Athena
"Both ?"- Ares
" Do you doubt that ?"- Athena got closer
" No ."- Ares said letting himself be kissed by Athena
