Chapter 3

Nines lean back and his head rest on the cushion of the couch, he closes his eyes for a second and smiles softly "I never thought I could actually be relaxed" he opens his eyes and looks at Gavin. Gavin smiles, sliding to sit beside Nines. "Well, you will find that if you aren't stiff all the time, a lot of things can happen," Gavin tells Nines. He leans on Nines, unintentionally. He didn't think but then he realised what he was doing and backed away a bit, nervous. "S-sorry, I don't know what got into me Nines," Gavin stutters, looking at Jace laying on the cat tree.

"its alright, its actually quite nice" he looked over at him with a slight tint of pink on his face, he leaned forward putting the cards back into the box the laying the box back onto the coffee table "you seem a bit flustered " he said as he put his hand on Gavins leg. Gavin flinched, blushing. He looks at Nines, saying, "Y-yeah it-it is just... Uh..." Gavin doesn't know what to say, but he leans back onto Nines. "I honestly cannot convey it with words right now, but I am not brave enough..." Gavin mutters to himself.

Nines looks at him and takes a hand and puts it around him "You know since we are all free now we can almost do whatever we want, we can get jobs, we can go into areas where we weren't allowed to go before, we can find someone.." Nines smiled slightly "ugh what am I saying somethings going to end up going wrong and then the whole mess we went through will start back over and I know for a fact that if it does not of my kind will make it out alive" he looked at Gavin with a soft smile "but until that day comes we have to make the most of it"

"I guess so, I guess that is what it means to be human," Gavin says, getting a bit excited about Nines being human-like for once. He thinks of something to say but thinks it wouldn't end too well. He looks stumped, but still happy and a bit flustered. Gavin wraps his arm around Nines. "Heh, I guess you are alive if you decide to be. The choice between two things, an innocent yet controlled, or knowledgable and free, ultimately, it is for you to decide, huh?" Gavin says, not knowing where he is going with this. "You are correct and its weird being 'alive' its different there are so many feeling I have and I don't know how to express them" His LED turned from blue to yellow " do you know what its like to be confused about feelings?" he said as he says as he looked at Gavin leaning closer to him. "sorry for asking that question" he said as he played his head on Gavin's shoulder closing his eyes.

"I-it's fine..." Gavin said, smiling as Nines lay on him. "Honestly, many many times I have," Gavin said. Nines chuckled softly as his LED whet back to blue"have you ever had the 'someone'?" he asked and he smiled. Gavin blushed, looking at Nines again. (Sorry abt that buggy keyboard) "N-No... No, I haven't," he said, trying to see what Nines was getting at. "Why do you ask Nines?" He asked, completely confused. Nines took Gavin's free hand and put it in his "well there are a couple of reasons but I don't think you would respond the same" the Android had a slight tint of pink forming on his cheeks, his LED went to blue.

He looked at Nines, realising what he is talking about. "N-Nines... Y-you..." Gavin said,  holding his hand. "I-If you are talking about... Loving me... Has it not been obvious I had a crush on you? N-Not to try and be rude or anything... But... I..." He tried to say, not knowing what to. "well I mean it was a bit obvious but I was never really sure" Nines looked at him with a smile on his face "I'm just glad I was able to do this tonight."

"Me too Nines..." Gavin said, leaning on the android. "Me too." The Android smiled as he brought Gavin's hand up and kissed it lightly "How long have you felt like that towards me?" The Android asked softly. "Well... As long as I had been softening up... I really have lost track," Gavin sighed happily. Simon jumped up onto his lap and he pets the cat with his free hand. Gavin then asks, "I have really lost track, it is weird, isn't it? How I act all tough, but in reality, I am just this... Cat loving softie."

"You're still tough though you've done so many things the even Lieutenant Anderson can't do" he stated "I mean hell you ran after an Android for about 45 minutes and got him like that" He snapped his fingers as he said it. "Yeah you can be soft but your still tough, like and Android we can appear tough on the outside but on the inside most of us are huge softies," he said looking at him smiling.

"True... That is true..." Gavin said, scratching Simon behind the ears now. "Well, any more questions you have for me Nines? Probably not, but I am curious," he asked Nines, closing his eyes. He gripped Nines' hand tight, never wanting to let go. He was waiting for this day, he wasn't gonna give it up any time soon. He loved the android too much. He wouldn't. He couldn't. "no I don't" The Android smiled as he leaned closer to Gavin's cheek lightly kissing it "I've been wanting to do that for a while," the Android said with a smile on his face.

Gavin smiles, then holding Nines' face and kissing him straight on. "How about that?" He asked. "I hadn't been brave enough to tell you or anything, but... Now it is happening, why not?" He said, still holding the android's perfect face. He smiled, releasing Nines and holding his hand again.
