Chapter 9

The Android walked down to the station, Fowler walked to him and Nines layed out what happened and why they weren't going to be there for a few days, Fowler reluctantly understood and let them off the hook. The Android walked out of the station smiling, he looked across the street and saw a box he crossed the street he bent down to look into it. Gavin hummed, watching out the window every so often. He saw Nines coming and grinned mischievously. He wasn't sure what he would do, but he would do something funny. He hid all the cats in his room and shut the door after entering. He knew Nines would be confused, hopefully not angry.

The Android came back and opened the door "Gaviiiiinnnnn" the Android half yelled as he walked in and took his shoes off "Gavin?" he looked in the kitchen, No one, He walked into the bathroom, No one "Gavin??!" The Android raised his voice slightly. Gavin opened the door silently. "Heelooooo Ninesssss I am the keeper of the cats!" Gavin said. "I know, you were a bit worried, but I am sorry,"

"Oh thank god I am glad you're alright!" he said as he kissed Gavin's cheek "I found something," The Android said as he showed Gavin a black and white cat. Gavin squealed, shaking his hands."oh my oh my oh my GOD NINESSSSSS!!!!!" He squealed. The Android smiled "I saw him in a box next to the street and I would have felt bad if I just left him" He said as he held him, the kitten mewed and the look on Nines face was priceless "awwwwwwwww" The Android was overwhelmed with joy.

"AWWWWWWWEEEEE Nines... He is ADORABLE!" Gavin screeched, lightly hugging him, making sure not to crush the precious kitten in Nines' arms. Gavin grabs the kitten lightly and leans on Nines, gushing. He smiled looking at Gavin "What should his name be?" The Android asked. Gavin stood there, thinking. He pets the kitten and melted, then said, "well, whatever you want his name to be!" He smiled, gushing over the kitten and then crouching so that Jace, the timid and shy with everything cat, could meet his brother. Lila and Simon get pretty territorial, so best they meet him when he is stronger. Gavin smiled warmly and looks up at Nines, blushing a bit.

The Android sat crisscrossed on the floor " Vinny" the Android said as he watched Gavin with the cats "I think that would be a good name for him, but what do you like?" he asked. Gavin smiles, looking back down at the small kitten. "I think it suits him, " he says, watching him walk over to Jace, who is alert, but curious. The Android kissed Gavin's cheek as he watched the cats "Fowler understood and I got us 3 more days off" he happily. Gavin chuckled a bit. "Three is a bit much but ok, thank you Nines, " Gavin said, leaning on Nines again.

The Android smiled as he put his arm around the man "we have three whole days of whatever you want" He kissed his cheek and smiled. Gavin sits, thinking. He chuckled weakly. "Oh, what will we ever find to do?" Gavin says, fairly fainting. He laughs, looking at the cause playing. Nines chuckled as he kissed him multiple times "Sooo do you think Vinny will be alright" he said as he looked over at the kitten.

Gavin nods. "I am pretty sure he will, he seems strong, " he says, wrapping his arms around Nines' neck and hugging him a bit. Gavin smiles and kisses Nines straight-on lightly, (cOuGh I wILL kEeP mAkInG tHE SAmE jOkE) if that is possible. His smile gets plastered back on after he draws back. Vinny hops playfully onto him as he half-lays on the rug, half on Nines' legs. The Android smiled brightly as he used one hand to pet Vinny and the other to caress the man face as he kissed him.

Gavin tightened the hug, kissing Nines again. He moves his hands to Nines' hips. He knew he was in no shape to... YeT. Maybe... Maybe... The Android kissed the man softly as he took Gavin's left hand and kissed it, Honestly, the Android was scared to do anything he didn't want to hurt Gavin, he would have felt too terrible if he did. Gavin laughed softly. He honestly felt like new, but he knew that Nines was being cautious. Nines needed to be happy after how much pressure, worry, and mental pain that has been running through him. Gavin could tell. "You won't hurt me, love, I know you won't, " he told the android. He doesn't think Nines believes him though.

"I know I won't hurt you but I don't want you doing something that you don't want to or doing something that could give you any more pain," He said softly holding the mans hand looking down at it, he LED whet from blue to yellow. "I know, I wasn't planning on doing anything extravagant. Nines, you gotta let loose, have some fun these days, ok? For me?" He asks the android, putting his hand in the side of Nines' face. "I will tell you I wouldn't want to do anything ahead of time, you know this," Gavin says, trying to reassure him. "I will try," The Android said smiling "I worry way too much huh?" he asked chuckling as he leaned into Gavin's hand "I love you too much for my own good," He said quietly.

Gavin snorts. He then nods, rubbing Nines' cheek. "You need to worry about yourself too, not just me. I know, I know, I am too lovable, but still. You may not have every organ I have, but you can still technically get ill, " Gav says, sighing. He picks up Vinny with his free hand and sets him in his lap. The kitten mews and curls up on Gavins lap, Nines sighs "Its weird honestly I've been so used to taking care of other people and there issues and never my own" The Android says  softly as he pets Vinny " I enjoy taking care of people but that's gonna lead me to an early deactivation" he says looking up and into Gavins eyes.

Gavin nods. "Please at least take care of yourself. I don't want you to die, I..." Gavin stops himself before he says anything. He looks away, trying to hide he was gonna cry. "I don't want to either I just don't know how to do it" He said closing his eyes as his LED turned red "I'm sorry" he said quietly as he stopped petting the cat to put his hand on Gavin's face as a few tears shed and rolled down his face and onto Gavin's hate.
