Chapter 28

The Android wakes up around 8:30 and he kisses Gavin's forehead before getting up "I will be back" he says as he gets out of the bed and goes to the closet. Gavin wakes as Nines walks to the closet. "O-ok..." He says, hazy from just waking. "Wait, how long will it take again?" He asks the android. He looks over his shoulder "About ten to twenty minutes" he responds taking off his shirt and putting on a hoodie, jeans and winter coat, he kisses Gavin on the forehead again before walking out of the apartment to down the street to the local flower shop. He picks up the Lilies and he walks across the street to the Coffee shop to pick up Lily a small white cat, she is a munchkin cat with green eyes.

Gavin lays back down completely and sighs. It takes him a while to realise it is Christmas. "Woah! I forgot it is Christmas!" He yells a bit too loud. He gets out of bed and waits on the couch with the cat children. The Android walks through the door with stuff under his jacket "Gavin I'm back!" he raises his voice a bit before seeing him on the couch "oh hey!"

"Hi, Nines!" He says, excited to see. "When can I seeeeee?" He asks, jumping lightly off the couch, over to Nines. He closes the door behind him "Just sit on the couch and I can show you" he explains. Gavin obeys, trying to sit still. "What is iiiiittttt?" He asks Nines. "I wanna know why you asked me what flowers were my favourite," he says, crossing his legs. He first takes out the small bouquet of lilies "weeeelll" he hands it to him smiling "This was the first reason" he says looking at him holding the other part of his jacket. Gavin smiles. "I love you so much, you know that?" He tells Nines. He knows he shouldn't get up, so he doesn't. "You are so amazing..." He continues, then stopping himself because he knows that Nines said part.

"I know you love me," he said biting his tongue as he smiles "here is the second part. Her name is Lily and she has little stumpy legs, I got her at the shelter and I was in awe" he explains as he pulls her out of his jacket. "I had to meet the owner at the coffee shop since the shelter was closed today." "AWHH!!!" Gavin coos. "Nines! You are too kind!" he says, getting up. He hugs Nines, careful to not crush Lily. "Nines..." He wants to say something, but can't, "thank you." He finishes it carefully.

He smiles "Your welcome, Just make sure not to tell the landlord" he explains as he kisses him softly holding Lily close to him. Gavin nods. They had their limit of pets, but Nines still got him another cat. He carefully holds Lily and leans on Nines. The Android smiles "Merry Christmas Gavin" he said smiling as Lila rubs against Nines leg. He picks her up "This is your sister and you've gotta be nice to her" he explains to Lila. "Merry Christmas love," he replies softly. He is careful about the interaction, so he back a bit before setting Lily down and watching and monitoring the communication. "Perfect naming, Lila and Lily... Hope they get along," he states, crouching beside the couch.

Lila sniffs Lily and she seems to like her a bit more but she doesn't love her. Simon, Jace and Vinny look at lily with confusion "I think they will get along" he explains as he smiled. "Sure they will, seems to be currently," he says, then humming. After staring for a bit, his gaze goes to the tree. "Oh! Right! Other presents!" He says. "I did get you another thing as well, I think you will like it," He says as he takes his jacket off "I got you another thing then I think you will use it alot" he explains smiling. Gavin was curious to what it was but saved it for last. "Best for last, right?" He half-tells, half-asks Nines. The go through all of them, each more surprising than the last. Some of them practical, some very miscellaneous, but all unique. He gives Nines the gifts he got the android throughout the whole thing, and carefully holds the last thing as if it were fragile.

The Android watched Gavin with curiosity "what's that??" he asks with a small smile on his face while  Lila and Vinny rubbed against him. Gavin was confused. "Wh-? Good question..." He says, still confused as all heck. "What is it Nines?" He asks the android, completely confuzzled. "Weeell open it," he says smiling it was a type of photo album filled with stuff they did together, It had their first Haunted House ticket, random pictures of them in polaroid form. Nines LED was in there as well a receipt for their engagement rings.

Gavin opened it timidly, scared for what he thought would happen. He just about cried when he flipped through it. "Nines..." He stuttered, tearing up rapidly. "You... You had been down all of it to make a memory book? If so..." He says, shuffling over on his knees. He hugs Nines tightly. "You are the best anyone would hope for, you know that?" He asks Nines, closing his eyes. He nods "I kept everything from the  start of when we got together till now" he smiles "Also since our work is fairly hands-on I got us these so we never lose our rings" he takes out two simple silver necklace chains "Here" he hands one of the chains to Gavin and takes the one he got and puts his ring on it putting the necklace around his neck.

Gavin immediately put it on after stringing the ring on the chain. "I love you soooo much Nines, words cannot describe..." He says, hugging Nines again. He kisses Nines, holding his face close. "Just even the simplest things make me cry, happy and sad. " this is the best Christmas, ever. Nobody can say theirs was better, cuz this is by the furthest, the best," he tells Nines, touching their noses. The Android smiled kissing Gavin softly "I'm glad you enjoyed your gifts" he says holding his face, Lily explores the house and ends up laying on one of the cat beds. Gavin wipes his eyes and smiles, watching her trot along, plopping down. "You know who that looks like right after we get home?" He asks Nines, a smile changing to smirk.

"You most of the of time" he explains kissing him again as he sticks out his tongue again " Notice there is one pocket left in the memory album? well, we can dry one of the Lilies and put it in there" he says smiling. Gavin scoffs. "Fine, you win this time," he says, sticking his tongue out too. "Yeah, we could do that! Just like... Once some of them start to die... Or since there are so many, now but we'd have to let it dry out for soooo long," he tells Nines. "It will be worth it don't worry" he smiles as he ruffles Gavins already messy hair. He cleans up the living room and they look through the album remember where the photos came from.

"These years... Oh jeez..." He mumbles. "My heart hurts. Too many happy memories fill it," he says, wiping his eyes once more. "Happy..." He repeats, smiling softly. Gav can't believe it. They have loved each other for so long, and neither of them seem to be coming to a stop. Ever. He smiles "Almost six year of, happiness, tears, and sexually actions so yes these past few years have been quite joyful" he explains as he looked at a very early picture of them "Woah I look so different," he says chuckling a bit. "Yeah, but a good different," he tells Nines. "I still get extremely flustered and embarrassed about little things I see..." He laughs weakly.

He smiles "it's cute though," he says kissing his cheek "And you like it so I keep doing it," he says smirking a bit. "U-uh... Fair enough," he stutters giggling nervously. "Hey, at least Fowler didn't react terribly to our engagement, for as tsundere as he is," he says, changing subjects, "I was completely overjoyed when he was all cool with it and stuff."

"Same here I was very nervous when we explained it to him" he smiles chuckling a bit as they flip through the album and they come across the Androids LED "I can't believe that was in my head," he said looking at it. "Well, more stuck to it," he says, taking it out of the spot. Somehow it still glowed blue, weakly, but it was there. "Stuck in your synthetic skin I'd say," Gavin says, flipping the light-weighted LED disk. "Yeah but still," he said tilting his head a bit "It still works which is quite surprising," he says smiling a bit. "Very," Gavin said, flicking it like a coin, which Nines taught him how to. "Wow, I have gotten pretty good at this, huh?" He asks, standing up and continuing to flick it and flip it.

"Yeah you have  Oh I almost forgot to put my coin in there hold on" he gets up and gets the coin out of his jacket pocket giving it to Gavin and they find a spot for it. Gavin giggles as he flips it and it almost hits the ceiling. "You proud of me?" He asks Nines, catching it. "I hope you are, cuz I took so much time to practice this," he chuckles, flicking again and then flicking it to Nines, hoping he catches it.
