"Virge, hurry, we're going to be late!"
The young boy tried to keep up with his mother as they hurriedly ran towards platforms nine and ten, she pushed him and the cart he that was holding his belongings in front of her as she bent down to whisper in his ear.
"Run into that wall, and don't get scared, okay? It's all going to be okay." She said.
He nodded and let out a deep breath. He planted his feet into the ground as he ran into the wall swiftly, his mother wasn't too far behind him when he flew out on the other side. He was just scared that it ate her up for the time that he didn't see her. Her hand suddenly found its way into his shoulder as it guided him through the crowd to the train. A conductor reached out of the door to grab Virgil's belongings.
"Five minutes until departure!" He screamed to the crowed. Virgil gulped at the chaos around him, until his mother kneeled down in front of him and the guard as she put her hands on his ears so only he could hear her.
"I want you to stay safe and make friends, okay? If you're ever scared, just remember to breathe, just as we practiced. Don't go anywhere they tell you not to go, and if anything is wrong tell your house advisor or a prefect. Everything is going to be okay, and you will enjoy yourself, I promise! Have fun, and remember to write a letter, okay?" She asked. Her voice was muffled but he heard every word, nodding, he went right into her arms, taller than her by a head, but still much shorter than what growth spurt would plague him in the coming years.
"I love you." She said in his shoulder. Virgil let out a tear before the conductor blew his whistle for the last call of students on the train.
"I love you too, Mom!" He said. She kissed his hair one last time before nudging him towards the train. He gulped, the conductor took his hand and helped him up the stairs.
"Go find a compartment, it's a long ride." He said. Virgil nodded before looking out the window at his mother for the last time until Christmas.

"Boys, I don't care if we are early or not, just get your butts over here!"
Roman and Remus were racing through King's Cross Station, pushing their trolleys along with their belongings atop them. Their trunks and owl cages slid back and forth as their mother called for them from the platform.
"Come now! Run through this wall! Between the nine and the ten!" She yelled. Her husband rolled his eyes as Roman zoomed past and ran straight into the wall, falling flat on his face from the speed on the other side. He got up just in time and pushed his cart to the side as Remus flew in after him.
"I win Dookie!" He yelled. Remus rolled his eyes.
"Cheater, you pushed me into dog poo." Remus retorted.
"That's why your name is Dookie." Roman said.
"Too bad for you, because I actually like it." Remus said as he crossed his arms sassily.
"Can you two stop bickering for once?" Their father said as he appeared through the wall. "Remus, stop picking on your brother."
"But he picked on me first, Dad!" Remus said.
"Just stop or the whole platform will hear. Where's your Mother?" He asked. Remus and Roman both shrugged before she appeared from behind their father.
"Right here honey. There was a bit of a backup, the station worker thought I was committing to a self-destructive activity." She said. Her husband raised an eyebrow.
