-"Why are you following me?"
Virgil turned around abruptly to Roman after they walked into their shared dorm. Roman furrowed his brow.
"Well, you're not the only one who sleeps here Virgil." Roman said. Virgil rolled his eyes and let out an aggressive sigh.
"Why did you follow me from the courtyard? Were you spying?" He asked.
"N-No, I was-" "I knew it." Virgil said. He sat on his bed and held his head in his hands. Roman went over to comfort him, to clam him down, but Virgil pushed him away with a force that came out of his hand, not even touching Roman. Roman staggered backwards, looking at him in shock. Virgil gulped and held his arms close to his body.
"What was that?" Roman asked, bewildered.
"Nothing!" Virgil yelped. His voice cracked in a lower tone.
"It's okay, I won't touch you." Roman said, putting his arms up in defense. Virgil let out a cold sigh and looked at his hands in front of him.
"Did you feel me push you, or wind?" He asked solemnly. Roman looked up for a second to conclude and looked back to Virgil with serious eyes.
"I felt wind." He said. Virgil groaned angrily and shoved his hands into his arm pits.
"Dammit," He said.
"Why?" Roman asked.
"Nothing, don't worry about it." Virgil said. Roman decided in the moment it was best for him to keep his mouth shut.
"Why were you following me?" Virgil asked sternly. Roman sighed.
"I was going up the hill, you looked scared, so I went to go find you and check on you and then I heard yelling, and your voice, and I-I just-" "You eavesdropped?" Roman blanked as Virgil death-glared him.
"Y-Yeah." Roman said. Virgil scrunched in on himself, repressing whatever he was feeling. Roman didn't know what to do.
"What did you hear?" Virgil asked. His voice was low.
"Mostly everything," Roman said with honesty.
"I hate them." Virgil said. Roman looked at him as if he were serious.
"I'm not too fond of them either, I can go beat up my brother if you need me-" "Not everything in this world is about your brother!" Virgil yelled.
Roman looked at him with wide eyes.
"Roman, your bother's not the be-all end-all about everything horrible. Yeah, I may have been friends and lived with him for four years, but he only ever tried to help me. Even if sometimes it did hurt me, it was with the intention of helping me. Deceit, he's a different story, a manipulative one. Your brother lives in his shadow because he is too scared to live in your own. Don't you see that?" Virgil exclaimed. Roman couldn't believe a word that he was saying. He looked down at Virgil with shock. The younger and shorter of the two looked up at him in a serious gaze.
"W-What?" Roman asked. Virgil sighed with annoyance.
"Nothing," He grumbled.
"No, tell me."
"I just did."
"He is scared of me?"
"Yeah, he only ever cares about what you think of him. And you wonder why he acts the way he does." Virgil said. Roman looked at him crazily.
"But-" "If you start talking to me about how different you two are because 'oh he was always destined for Slytherin, I should be in Gryffindor.' I will seriously tear down everything on your wall. Why do you want to be a Gryffindor anyway? Just so you can be different from your brother?" Virgil snapped. Roman looked at him with a furrowed brow.
