a/n: I kind of have a yearly tradition of writing a Christmas chapter, and I feel bad for leaving you all hanging with that last chapter without some soft Christmas aesthetic, so whether you celebrate or not, I hope you enjoy the chapter and have a wonderful holiday season and amazing new year :)

Logan sat by his family's fireplace with his knee bouncing anxiously. The quiver of a smile kept appearing and disappearing upon his face. His brother looked on from the doorway, smirking.

"Waiting for him, huh?" He asked. Logan nodded, biting his lip, humming in response.

"I can't wait to meet him ." His brother said, trying to make conversation. Logan smiled to himself.

"You'll love him, he's amazing." Logan said. His mother walked in, putting a basket of great onto the table.

"I'm sure we will, you haven't been this happy in a while, especially because of someone else." She commented. His brother scoffed, rolling his eyes to Logan.

"Mom, leave him be." He said. Logan anxiously put his hands in between his thighs as he awaited the arrival of Patton.

"It'll be fine." His brother assured. Logan mimicked his response from earlier towards him.

"When was the last time you wrote to him?" HIs mother asked.

"Yesterday." Logan muttered. His brother looked to his mother with a smirk.

"Really?" He asked. Logan nodded, staring at the fireplace in agony.

"He was supposed to be here a minute ago." He said solemnly.

"I'm sure he's on his way Log." He said. As soon as the reassurance was given, a rattle came from the fireplace in front of them. Purple puffs of smoke started to appear and a green flame erupted out of the wood. Suddenly.Patton, dressed in a pastel pink and light blue sweater, stumbled out of the fireplace holding a tray of cookies. Logan stood up instinctively, walking over to help stabilize Patton's stance. Patton looked up to him with rosy cheeks, holding the tray out in front of him awkwardly. Logan gave him a weary smile. blushing madly.  Logan's mother cleared her throat, holding out her hands.

"Why don't I take this?" She asked, gesturing to Patton's tray.

"Oh! Yes, of course!" Patton said enthusiastically full of worrisome. Logan chuckled, taking his hands into his own.

"Merry Christmas." He said. Patton smiled at him sheepishly.

"Merry Chrysler." He whispered. Logan chuckled.

"Um... if  you don't mind..." Logan said, cupping the back of Patton's head.

Patton giggled, nodding as he leaned in to kiss Logan on the lips. Logan's brother and mother looked on from the corner by the dining room with smiles on their complexions.

Logan softly pulled out of the kiss with Patton, looking up wearily. Patton smiled to him strongly, kissing him again, only more confidently the next time. Logan's father walked in through the dining room, holding a turkey that was fresh out of the oven. Logan's brother turned around to warn him and shut him up, but it was too late. His father smirked at the scene in front of him.

"Sorry boys, there's no missile toe." He said with a girn. Logan suddenly jerked back, blushing a deep red. Logan's brother slapped his father's arm.

"Dad, come no. He hasn't seen his boyfriend in how long, and you do this to them?" He asked. His father put his hands up in defence.

"What? All I said was that there wasn't a missile toe." He said defensively. Logan rolled his eyes, grabbing Patton's left hand with his right.

"We should invest in one next year then." Logan's mother commented.  Logan's brother smirked to Patton, holding out a hand.
