Talk of The Town pt.2

A/N: so I thought I might try to draw Izuku when he and void are mixed, but I remembered I absolutely suck at drawing. So instead I just googled "character creation" and found an app called "gacha life" and it's not the best design, but here's the end product, hope you enjoy the look.

Izuku/void POV-

I woke a little after I fell asleep because I heard the front door open, I got up and headed to the kitchen. When I got there, my mom was crying.
"Mom, you don't need to cry anymore, I'm home" I said trying to comfort her
"I-Izuku?" She asked through sobs
I ran up and hugged her, responding "yeah, I'm home now, you can stop worrying"
After saying this she let out all her tears
"Where w-were you? I c-couldn't fi-find you" she asked through sobs
Should I just tell her?
Can she keep a secret?
Yeah
If you think so then alright
"It's a long story, let's eat first, I'm starving"
After she cooked us both katsudon, my favorite, as a celebration for me coming home, we sat down and I explained how I meet void, leaving some points out obviously, like my attempted suicide, and all might shutting down my dreams.
"This void character, can I meet him?"
"Let me ask him first..."
Hey void?
Already heard, it's fine with me since I got some rest
"He says it's fine..." I responded before I stood up.
Ready?
Sure
I could feel my body slightly changing. My hair tingled as it change to a grey at the tips, and my right eye went out of focus as it changed, before I could no longer see out of it. Weirdly enough, I didn't black out, only lost most control of my right side.
"So... your void?" She asked
"Yeah, your son was injured, so I had no real choice but to merge with him" void explained
"So how exactly does a sentient quirk work?" She asked
After hearing this he flinched and looked away. Mom quickly noticed and tried changing the subject.
"Sorry for bringing up bad memories. thank you for saving my son, you have no idea how much it means to me for Izuku to have another friend"
"Well, us small guys gotta stick together" void responded
"Right, Please help him achieve his dream of becoming a hero" She asked with a hint of determination in her voice
"I will, but can I ask something from you?" Void asked
"Sure what is it?" She asked confused
"Can you keep me a secret?" He asked
"Absolutely. After all, I owe you a lot for all you've done" she responded with a smile
"Thanks..." he said before switching with me
How was that interaction? Seem human enough?
Why would it matter? She knows our secret.
Practice for later, I need to at least seem human right?

Want to go back to sleep?
Yes please...
"Hey mom I'm gonna go back to sleep" I tell mom
"Ok, and also Izuku..."
"What is it?" I asked
"... I'm proud of you baby" she said with tearful smile
"Thanks mom" I responded before going back to my room

*the next day*
I had woken up early and got ready for the day. I may be out of school, but I need to train if I want to be a hero.
So void, where exactly was this place you mentioned we could train?
Dagobah beach
... isn't that place just a trash heap?
Exactly why we should train there
... I don't think I follow you but I trust you
I finished a piece of toast and left a note on the table for mom as I left
'Going out to train with void, I'll be back before dinner'
On my way to the beach, I felt like I was being followed, but ignored it. When I got to the beach I climb over the trash piles and walked down the other side so no one would see me.
"Lets see if this works..." see if what works?
Slowly my arm was covered in a thin layer of black essence.
So it did work
Uh earth to Izu, what is this supposed to do? It's a shadow, the best it's going to do is change your skin to a grey color...
Well I was going to... wait... did you just call me Izu?
...maybe...
...it's a nice nickname...
*cough* anyways you were going to what?
Oh yeah! Quick question, how did you expand and solidify the shadows when you... ya know...
I used some of your sadness to solidify the shadows, and anger to strengthen them, why?
Just watch...
Alot slower than before, the thin layer of black began to go from transparent to solid. After it was finished, I stretched my arm to test flexibility. I can still freely move my arm, good. I then punch a cinder block as hard as I can, and the cover blocked most of the damage, key word being 'most'.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!"
While I'm holding my arm in a lot of pain, I can hear void wheezing from laughter.
This isn't funny dude...
Bruh, you just went 'I need to test this things protection, nah I'm not gonna do plastic, or metal, let me go straight to CEMENT', how is that not funny?
Ok stage two...
I tried to focus my anger and energy into my arm, and the black cover began to expand. Once it was done, my arm was completely black, and muscular enough to be confused with All Might's arm.
Dude... you could probably level a city block with that...
Well you never know until you try...
WAIT WHA-
Before he could finish, I punch the same cinder block, and it shattered like glass. the shockwave from the hit caused the rest of the trash heap to collapse.
...
...coooooool
Yeah no everyone in a ten mile radius heard that
Really?
No but I can guarantee a lot of people did.
Well I should probably name this for later...
...what about Umbral enhancement?

let's move onto physical training now
Right!
As I started to sort and carry the trash into piles, some people began to slow down and watch or stop completely and watch. Usually they left after two minutes, except one guy. He had long, messy black hair and was slightly hunched over. he stayed for a long time, about two hours, as if he was studying me or something. eventually he left, but I started having a bad feeling about something.
*four hours later*
Arms feel like their falling off? Check
Legs burn like it's the surface of the sun? Check
Feel like collapsing? Check
I was burnt out by the end of the first day, and as I was laying on the sand, the same hunched guy from before came up with two smoothies and tried to handed me one. At first I was hesitant, but accepted it nonetheless. He sat down next to me and in a menacing voice asked "why are you cleaning the trash here kid?"
"Huh?" I was confuse, didn't everyone think of cleaning here but never get around to it?
"Why are you here cleaning the trash, everyone else has given up on the entire beach, so why clean it all alone?" He explained
As I thought for a second, I decided on my philosophy from that day one, "Well... because someone has to do the dirty work. someone has to do what others can't, whether it be cleaning a trash covered beach, or risking your life to save a civilian from a villain. While others will turn a blind eye for their own safety, there will always be that one person, no matter how small or weak, who is willing to throw their life away for a complete stranger. I am that person, and no matter how long it takes, even if the entire world is against me, hell even if I have to fight All Might, I WILL BECOME A HERO!"
He sat there wide eyed at my monologue, soaking in what I said
"O-oh, sorry for rambling like that, it's a bad habit a lot of others hate, I-"
"I may be able to help you reach that dream, but you can't tell anyone you met me ok?" He interrupted
"Um... ok? But can I at least get your name?" I asked
"You first"
"Midoriya, Izuku Midoriya"
"Nice to meet you Izuku...you can call me stain"

A/N: woooah, big spooky plot twists?! Nope, planned this from the start but failed at execution multiple times.
I'm planning on adding tags as I go along and reveal more, also I'm not sure if I should throw in a ship or not, might open it for debate or which ship but I'm think these:
Izuku x vigilante toga or Izuku x Yaoyorozu (since izuocha is nice, but I just prefer the izumomo or izutoga)

Also all feedback is welcome since I'm driving blind right now and don't know if I'm even doing authors notes correctly(I legit looked up a guide on how to do authors notes)
