Walking into the kitchen Emma saw Logan and Evan sitting at the breakfast bar with the makings for French toast out.
"You took longer than thirty minutes to get dressed, Emma." Logan said in a mocking tone to his sister.
Shaking her head but not saying anything Emma got the makings out for French toast and started to make the boys breakfast.
"Jason called while you were in the shower and he was wondering if you could make extra for him he hasn't eaten yet." Logan asked his sister while winking at Evan.
"He's lying to you Emma. Jay said that he was on his way after he stopped and showered and Logan here invited him for breakfast. That's why he woke you up." Evan said smiling at Emma.
Logan reached up and smacked him on the back of the head, and smiled at his sister. "I don't mind feeding your brother Evan, it's not a problem. All Logan had to do was say so." Emma said as she in turn smacked her brother on the side of the head, and winked at Evan.
"What was that for Emma?" Logan said rubbing the side of his head that she had just hit.
"For lying about Evans brother coming for breakfast. Now go get the door someone just pulled in the drive way." Emma put the first piece of bread on the skillet as the boys got up and walked to get the door. She could hear them talking in the front room. She heard her brother's voice then Evan's, then a voice that must belong to Evan's brother Jason. It was deep and husky, it sounded as if it belonged to a man made of muscle with lips that begged to be kissed. Emma shook the thought out of her head and went back to the food making sure it was not burning.

Jason followed Logan and Evan through the house to the kitchen. When he walked through the door way he saw her. He had seen pictures in the house of Emma but they didn't do her any justice as seeing her in real life. Her legs that seemed to be ten feet long where in a pair of light jeans that cupped her ass as his hands would. Her shirt was tight against her petite body. Her brown hair was straight and down to the middle of her back. When she turned to see that they had come into the kitchen he saw that she had breasts that begged to be cupped by his hands. He wanted to follow the v neck of her shirt with his lips. He wanted to do so many things to her. She was all he could think about since Logan told him she was coming home. For someone he had never met it was very strange to him that he was having these types of feelings. Then he heard someone clear their throat, he assumed to get his attention; he looked at his brother and Logan who both had smiles on their faces as though they knew what he was thinking about. He just hoped no one noticed the bulge growing in his pants.
Logan looked at Jason and then back at his sister and smiled proud of himself that he had been so smart to invite Jason for breakfast. "Emma this is Evan's brother Jason. Jason this is my sister Emma Jane." Logan pushed Jason toward Emma and stretched out Jason's hand out for him, and smiled at Emma.
Jason took control of his hand back from Logan and shook Emma's hand. "It's nice to meet you Emma Jane. Logan has told me so much about you."
Emma shook his hand back and smiled at him. "Just Emma. It's nice to meet you as well Jason. Now I have to get back to the French toast unless you guys don't mind eating burnt breakfast. Logan you and Evan can set the table." She turned back to the food as she spoke.
Jason helped the boys set the table. While they were sitting waiting for the food to be done Evan leaned over to his brother to whisper in his ear. "You might want to hide you're hard on bro Emma may be single but you can't jump her bones in the kitchen right after you just officially met her, plus I don't need to be traumatized by that neither does Logan." Jason just looked at his brother and smacked him on the back of his head and leaned close to whisper back. "You are just jealous that mine is bigger than yours and plus Logan said she has not been single long." Jason leaned back to his own seat as Emma was walking to the table with the food.
"Can I get you any coffee or anything to drink Jason?" Emma asked as she set the plate of French toast on the table.
"No I'm good thank you though." Jason said as she took the only seat left, next to him.
"I could go for some orange juice Em thanks." Logan said as he took food from the plate and smiled at his sister.
"Too late already sitting get it yourself." She said as she took food from the plate as well. She smiled at her brother and began to eat.
As she ate she studied Jason's appearance from the corner of her eye. He was wearing jeans and sneakers. His jeans where tight and showed off his ass, his shirt was black and tight over his muscled shoulders. It was tight over his whole body; she could see a slight hint of a six pack. His hair was brown and cut short, it begged her to run her fingers through it. He had a slight hint of a beard on his face as though he had not shaved in a day or two. She was right about his lips they begged for her to kiss them. He had a slight cleft chin, and deep blue eyes that looked as though they could see right into her soul.
She heard someone talking then someone clear their throat. She looked at her brother, then to Evan, then Jason. It was Logan who broke the silence. "Emma, Jason asked you what you did in the city when you were there." He said as a smile came onto his face.
Emma looked at Jason and smiled. "I was a food critic, and I worked for a magazine. I went to culinary school and I have my MA in journalism." She said as she stood up to take her plate to the sink.
"I was in the city about a month ago, for a police conference. What magazine did you work for." He asked as he stuffed more food in his mouth.
"I was the chief editor for Cosmo." She said as she stood to begin to unload the clean dishes in the dish washer and put them away.
She looked back to the table where they sat and saw that Jason had gone white. Evan and Logan just looked at him. Then the two boys started to laugh. When Jason finally began to breathe again he looked at the two boys and smacked them both on the head. He got up and took the plates from them and took them to the sink, then he walked back to finish clearing off the table. When he got back to the sink where Emma was standing he saw she had a smile on her face he started to help her load the dish washer. "Evan, Logan go get ready pick out a movie and shower I know you haven't yet." He said to them as Emma just looked at him as he was rinsing the dishes and put them in the dishwasher. "Emma I was going to take the boys to the movies would you like to come with us?"
Emma just stood there looking at him the boys had left the kitchen and it was just them. "That's very nice of you to offer me to come along. Yes, I would very much like to go." Then her phone rang on the counter and she saw that it was Pete again. She looked from the phone to Jason and back again. She picked up the phone then looked back at Jason. "Jason I know we've just met but would you do me a favor and answer my phone and say that if you ever call my phone again that you will beat his ass, and say that you are my new boyfriend." She put the phone out between them and Jason looked at it for a second, then took it and opened it.
"Hello? This is Jason, Emma's new boyfriend she is over you Pete, if you call her again I will drive to New York myself and break your fingers and your phone so that you can't call or text ever again, then I will kick your ass. Leave Emma alone or else." Then he hung up the phone and set it back on the counter.
"Thank you Jason I really don't know what I could do to thank you." She said as she went back to putting the dishes in the dishwasher.
"There is something you could do." He said as he took her hands and turned her to him and pushed her back against the counter.
"What?" Emma said not knowing what he meant.
"There is something you can do to thank me." He said as he caged her in against the counter with his hands and leaned into her.
"What a can I do to thank you Jason?" Emma said when his lips were an inch from hers.
