Fated

Chapter 17

In the morning when Emma woke up, she was on her side of the bed. She rolled over to see if Jason was awake but found the bed empty, except for a note on his pillow that had her name on it.

'Emma, I am sorry I had to leave you to wake alone. I got a call from the station early this morning about a case that just reopened. I can't say much about it but I had to go. I hope you understand. I will be back as soon as I can. See you later. Love you so much. Jason.'

"Well at least he left a note." Emma said with a laugh. She was a little upset about waking alone but she knew he had to leave for work. She folded the note and put on her night stand next to her clock and got up to shower and dress for the day.

When she got out of the shower and went to the cabinet to put on her make-up, she found a note in her makeup bag.

'Emma, you don't need this you are beautiful with make up as much as you are without it. Love Jason.'

"That man, I think he may be insane." She said as she started to apply her makeup. She walked into her room when she was finished and went to put on clothes. She went to put on her bra and panties first and found another note in her drawer.

"Emma, wear the dark blue lace thong and matching bra. Love Jason."

She shook her head but did as he asked pulling out the thong and matching bra. Smiling as she walked to her closet expecting to find a note on the mirror that was inside of it. She opened the door and found nothing. She pulled out her skinny jeans and a simple v-neck t-shirt. Once she was dressed she went to check on her mother.

She walked down the hallway and knocked on the door. When she didn't hear a response she peeked in the door to find her mother had fallen asleep with her book open. She silently walked over and placed the book mark on the page it was open to and placed it on the night stand and kissed her mother's forehead and left her to sleep.

She walked down the stairs to the kitchen and found another note on the fridge.

'Emma, can you please make chili for dinner please? Love Jason.'

Smiling she opened the freezer to take out ground beef for the chili. She put it on the counter to defrost and walked over to the dishwasher to put away the clean dishes. When she heard footsteps on the stairs, she turned to see Logan and Evan coming down the back stairs and into the kitchen.

"Good morning boys" Emma said as she was taking cereal out of the cupboard for herself.

"Morning Em, don't forget I have my test today. It is in the morning at 10, mom said that if I pass I don't have to go to school." Logan said as he stood beside his sister pouring himself some Fruit Loops.

"Aw man come on if you don't go after you finish your test who is going to help me finish the project for science that is due on Thursday?" Evan said as he sat at the breakfast bar while he waited for his toast to pop up.

"Logan you did not mention you had to help Evan with a project. If you pass I will think about it but you have missed enough school as it is already you really shouldn't miss any more than you have to. Evan I am going to drop you off on the way to the DMV, I am not sure what is going on for tonight I know your brother wants chili for dinner but beyond that I am not sure what the plan is; so you can get on the bus and come here or if Logan goes in after his test I can pick you guys up depending on how mom is feeling." Emma said has she sat at the table to eat her breakfast.
