Fated

Chapter 12

When he got back to Emma's room, he heard her talking to Logan. He stayed outside the door but still in hearing distance.

"Emma it's ok I just checked on mom and she is fine just starting to fall asleep when I went in, she said to tell you that she loved you and that it was ok to be sad. Jason cares a lot about you Em you will be safe with him I trust him to keep you safe. I will be just down the hall if you need me." When Logan had finished Jason was about to walk in the room when he heard Emma say something in a weak voice and he struggled to hear what she said.

"Logan I love you, you know that right. I miss him so much I had such a hard time when he died. I keep thinking that if I had just kept him on the phone for just a minute longer, he would still be here. Tonight when the power went off it all came back to me. All I could think about was that if Jason and Evan left the same thing might happen to them. I love him I just met him but I love him. It feels like I have known him my whole life. If I lost him I don't know what I would do. I know that I have to stay strong for you, for when mom goes we are all the family that's left you and me, Logan. I just I don't know I am so tired and feel so lifeless that I can't help mom and that I will do something wrong and lose you and Jason."

"Oh Em I love you so much. You take on too much you're not going to lose me I don't think you will be losing Jason either. Just relax and sleep the storm will be over by morning and everything will be alright."

When Jason heard Logan get up he stepped back from the door. Logan walked out of the door and looked at Jason. "Take care of her man. She needs someone to be strong for her on nights like this. But I tell you one thing break her heart and we will have problems." Logan put his hand on Jason's shoulder and looked him in the eye.

"You don't have to worry about that Logan I would not do anything to hurt her." He said wrapping the boy in a brotherly hug.

"You may say that now. But what about later on." Logan said and walked back to his room.

Jason walked into the room and shut the door behind him. He could tell Emma was still awake by the way she was breathing. He began to undress and then climbed into bed behind her and wrapped his arms around her and brought her to him so that her butt was against his groin. A perfect fit he thought.

They laid like that for a while both awake just listening to the storm. When Emma turned to him he saw the hint of tears that she refused to let out. She brought her hands to circle his neck and brought his lips to her for a kiss. It was a simple kiss but it still affected both of them as if it was filled with all the passion the shared in her shower earlier. When she pulled back she looked into his eyes and saw love there. "I love you Jason. Thank you for staying tonight; you don't know what it means to me." She said kissing him again.

"Emma I love you too." Kissing her back but adding a little more passion. When he heard her moan he deepened the kiss a little more. When she started to push away he was a little surprised.

"Can you just hold me tonight Jason? I want you so much right now but I don't want you to feel like you took advantage of me later on. Just hold me Jason please." She said trying to snuggle closer.

"Yes I will hold you Emma just hold you, it may kill me but I will hold you until you want more. But if you change your mind just let me know." He said tying to hold a smile back as he buried his face in her neck inhaling the smell of her hair, and tightened his arms around her.

"If I change my mind you will be the first to know Jason." She said as she smiled and kissed the top of his head.
