Hello, Lovelies,

I hope everyone is doing well!  Thank you for reading Singed.  It means so much to me that you are here.  I truly appreciate every single one of you.  I hope you are ready for some secrets to be revealed because a lot is going to happen in this chapter.

News:  I am taking part in Nanowrimo.  If you look above, you will see the cover of my Nanowrimo project.  It is updated with every chapter I write.  So, it will get daily updates.  I would appreciate it if you would check it out and give me feedback.  It is a 1980s band romance set on The Sunset Strip. I chose this one because I wasn't sure if I was going to do it or if people would read it.  So, call this book a test run to decide if I'm completing the series.  Also, I am still editing Sparked.  Thank you for your patience.

I hope you like this chapter.  If you do, please consider voting.  Comments are appreciated.  If you have questions, comment or send me a message.

Lorelle gazed at us with a tear-stained face, her wounds already healing. I gave her a sympathetic look as we helped her into the car. Her eyes moved back to the barn, her eyes widening with alarm.

"No," she whispered as we turned, finding Margaret making her way toward us fully healed.

"What the fuck?" I asked, my eyes wide as we rushed into the car. Jonathon keeping his eyes on the woman we thought was dead as he started the car. I took her in. I hadn't missed her. She had burned. I could see that in the fact that soot covered her nude body. She started to run toward us as Jonathon put the car into gear and sped away leaving her behind.

"Tell me what the hell is going on," I said, my voice shaking as I turned to Lorelle, "Did you heal her.

Lorelle shook her head, "No, She's not human...She's part witch herself," Lorelle said, trembling, her eyes wide, "She isn't able to be burned. I found out a year ago when I saw her step through a bonfire without being harmed."

"But you were crying because she died," I said, frowning.

"No," Lorelle said, lifting her chin, "I was crying because she's going to try to kill us all and I knew she could do it. I've witnessed her evil since I was a child."

"Why didn't you come to us sooner?" Jonathon asked, his brows furrowing.

"I-I was afraid you hated me," She said as fresh tears fell from her face, "I would hate me. I was present for every burning. I couldn't save your parents. I just now noticed my gift but I was there for every single one."

"We don't hate you," I whispered, meeting her gaze, "Jolie and Frankie told us what you did for Veil and Fane. You tried to help us."

She shifted, "I wasn't supposed to be there...But I was forced by my father who was trying to marry me off to Lloyd," she said, her lip curling in disgust, "He was there so I was brought along me so he could court me but he figured out what I could do. I knew the whole church would eventually know because I would rather die than marry him."

I nodded, "Frankie witnessed that," I said, shaking my head, "I'm so sorry. This must be hard on you. They've been your parents."

"The only thing that's hard is the fear," Lorelle said, her lip trembling, "I don't love them. They have always hurt me."

I tilted my head as I took in her face darkening with the pain of whatever abuses they had administered toward her. Her eyes met mine once more.
