Hello, Lovelies,
Thank you so much for reading Singed. I hope you are having a great day. I want to say I'm so sorry that this is late. Unfortunately, I have had a death in the family and I'm trying to catch up. I hope you understand.
I hope you enjoy this chapter. If you do, please consider voting. Comments are appreciated. If you have any questions, comment or send me a message.

Jonathon and I were in the library waiting for Bastian and Lanie to arrive. The grimoire lay on the table before us. I stared at it hoping that it would show us what we needed without searching. It had done that the first time we needed a spell but the book lay dormant in front of me and I could only hope that we needed Lanie present for that to happen. I glanced at Jonathon and winced knowing if we didn't find a spell, the heartbreak he was suffering would only become worse.
I sighed as Lanie and Bastian came into the room, locking the door to prevent anyone else from entry. Lanie came to stand beside me, her eyes roaming over the book.
"I guess it doesn't show us the spell we need every time we need it," she said, swallowing and I realized that she had the same worry for Bastian.
"Or there may not be one," I said, swallowing over the words but as soon as she touched my hand the book opened, the pages rapidly turned, stopping near the end of the book.
Our eyes widened, "I wonder how it knows before we even speak what we need," Lanie said, raising her brow.
I shrugged, wishing Mrs. Claiborne was with us to give us an answer but I knew that she would never be allowed to see the pages within the grimoire. She wasn't bonded to a vampire so it would remain shut to her.
We leaned forward taking in the page before us. A list of the demon trials that Dimitri would face was written in fading ink but listed on them were the ways he would be able to beat the trials...Ways we could help.
Lanie placed her finger on the paper, "This is for the descent," she said, her finger moving over the words, "It's called the demon's sleep. He can use this potion to make the demon's fall asleep if he encounters them."
"And how do we get it to him?" I asked frowning.
My eyes moved over the page, my heart dropping, "One of the vampires will have to descend into the realm to give it to him. They'll be out for three days leaving their mate vulnerable."
"That's not all," Lanie whispered, "This will happen before each demon trial also but it can't be the same vampire for each one. You only get one pass and you can only carry one thing."
"I'll go first," Bastian said, causing Lanie to wince, "Just keep Lanie safe."
"I'll go for the next one," Jonathon said, frowning, "I'm sure the others will agree to go."
Lanie and I were silent for a few moments. My heart ached with the thought of being separated from our mates with such danger around them. Still, we knew it needed to be done.
"Bastian, we'll need to brew this tonight," I said, my heart aching, "We'll also have to know when the descent ends so we can make sure that we send the others in time."
Lanie tapped a spell that caused my stomach to spin, "Here," she said, grimacing, "It causes a mark on his wrist before he enters each demon trial. We'll have to make sure that Dimitri has blood. The worst thing that can happen is he can become feral while in the demon trials. He would be unable to think clearly."
