I stared at the two women before us, realizing that the war against the church had shifted in our favor. I moved to the side still staring at them as Jonathon put his arm around my waist.

"I think we should look in that Grimoire and find any spells that can help us," he whispered, frowning, "They may help Dimitri too."

I glanced at him, my stomach churning because I sensed doing a spell to help Dimitri was going to have a cost and that cost may be too high. Still, it was worth looking. It was worth trying to save him from the demon trials.

"They will need to be trained," I said, raising my chin, "We all do," I said, biting my bottom lip, "And Mrs. Claiborne is helping with Dimitri and Bethany."

"We'll figure it out, Iz," Jonathon said, his eyes filling with hope that I couldn't extinguish.

I nodded and then, put on my best smile, "Welcome to The White Rose Manor, Gianna and Whitney. I'm Izzie Sutton and this is Jonathon Gaige."

"We were told in the dreams to find Dimitri," the woman on the right said as I tried to find a difference in appearance from her and her sister before finding that she possessed freckles across her nose and cheeks when her sister's face was void of them.

"I'm sorry but Dimitri isn't available at the moment," I said, softly, "I will explain all of that. Which are you? Gianna or Whitney?"

"I'm Whitney," she said, softly.

"It's nice to meet you both," I said, moving to the side so they could enter, "I'm glad you made it here safely."

"Not completely," Whitney said, her brows furrowing as she glanced at her sister.

"What do you mean?" I asked as my stomach churned.

Her gaze never left Gianna as she spoke, "The church found us and one of the men attacked her," she said, shifting, "He was going to...Do something worse than killing her but somehow, she was able to cause him to drown. It's the first time she's ever done anything like that. To say the least, it was traumatic."

I nodded, glancing at the woman, wondering how much trauma she had suffered at the hands of the church.

"It's okay," I said, softly, "You're safe here. No one is going to hurt you."

I reached forward but she flinched and I realized she was cringing toward her sister away from Gilliam. My heart ached as I gazed into her pale face realizing she was terrified. I wondered how the members of the church could believe they were good and right when they did such evil things.

"I'll show you to your room," I said, softly, "You can share if that would make you feel better."

"Thank you," Whitney said as they followed me but as I led them to their room, I wondered how long it would take Gianna to overcome the pain the church had inflicted upon her.

Jonathon and I showed Gianna and Whitney to their room before meeting Monroe and Yves at the bottom of the stairs. Frankie was standing near Monroe staring at him with wide eyes as he talked about living in Spain before coming back to America. Yves appeared bored as his gaze slid around the entryway taking in each of the women as they passed.

"Oh, you two should meet my sister, Jolie!" Frankie said with more enthusiasm than I had ever heard her speak with.

I frowned glancing around us, "Where is Jolie?" I asked, raising a brow because it was odd for her not to be near her sister.

Jolie shifted, "She's talking to Mrs. Claiborne and trying to keep Bethany company. With Dimitri...sleeping Bethany is distraught. We were trying to convince her that Dimitri will not wake any time soon but she refuses to leave him."

"Understandable," Yves said, his brows furrowing, "I wouldn't want to leave someone...I cared about in that state."

I gave him a sad smile but his eyes moved past me widening as he straightened.

"Jolie," Frankie said a smile on her face, "Come meet the new arrivals, Monroe and Yves."

I turned to glance at Jolie, noticing her wide eyes as she took a step forward and took Monroe's hand before turning to Yves and taking his hand in hers with a small gasp.

She shook her head, "I-It's nice to meet you," she said, softly.

"The rest of our coven arrived too," Frankie said but Jolie had paused with her hand still in Yves grasp.

"Jolie," Frankie said, frowning.

Jolie shook her head and turned toward Frankie, "I'm sorry. What did you say?"

"The rest of the coven is here," Frankie said, tilting her head as she studied her sister, "The last two arrived tonight."

Jolie frowned as she turned to me, "What does that mean?"

"It means that we may be able to find a spell to help Dimitri," Jonathon said, frowning. My heart twisted because I wasn't so sure we could and if we did, I was still worried about the price we would pay.

"It means we can try," I said, softly, which means I'll be in the library for most of the night and only Lanie, Bastian or Jonathon can come in or the book will close.

They nodded, "If you find a spell that will help, what happens then?" Jolie asked raising her brow, "We haven't been trained. Most of us don't know how to control our powers."

"Then, we will have Mrs. Claiborne train you," Jonathon said, his chin tilting up stubbornly, "We'll find a way to do this."

"That's if there is a spell," I said, putting my hand up to stop him, "Let's focus on that first. Then, if there is, we'll find out what it needs to work."

He ran his hand through his hair before his emerald eyes met mine, the desperation within them causing my heart to crack further. I stepped close to him, putting my hand over his heart, waiting until it calmed beneath my fingertips.

For a moment, his emotions flashed through me, creating pain. The fear for a man who was like his brother shook through me and I wondered if this would be how I would feel if Lanie or Daniella were in the same situation. I sighed, knowing it was.

"We'll never know if there is a spell or not if we don't look," I said, softly, nodding once as I kept my eyes on him, "We'll look."

He took a deep breath and then, nodded his head, "Okay. I'll help."

He grabbed my hand, leading me toward the library, knowing if we did find a spell, I was willing to give up almost anything to make sure it came to pass.
