Hello, Lovelies,
Thank you so much for reading Singed. I hope everyone has had a great Sunday! I also want to thank everyone for their patience while I was sick and grieving and a special thanks to those who sent me well-wishes and condolences. Also, there is one more chapter to this book and an epilogue. Above is the next book in the series, Charred. It will be Dimitri and Bethany's book.
News: I will be releasing on the same days as always but there is no set time for release during those days. Unfortunately, I do have a crunch in schedule and instead of disappointing you, I am telling you what I can do. I do hope you understand.
I do hope you enjoy this chapter. If you do, please consider voting. Comments are appreciated and if you have questions, comment or send me a message.

I braced myself as the world shook, igniting the fire in my hands as the church members dropped to the ground and causing the fire to extinguish. Jonathon grabbed my arm, trying to steady me as the earth cracked. Steam poured from the ground as Margaret's scream stopped bringing with it silence that was almost eerie.
Her eyes landed on me, "You brought friends," she said, her eyes narrowing, "But you and your mate are the only two who aren't vulnerable to death."
I smirked, "Not the only ones," I said, relighting the fire in my hands, "After all, we all have our guardians."
"Vampires?" Margaret said, her eyes widening, "You brought more vampires and left the others unattended?"
"No, they are safe," I said as her church members rose from their places on the ground to move closer to her, "And you're exposed to your own followers. I doubt they will help you now."
"Is that right?" She asked, clicking her fingers, "Sleep."
Every member of the church fell to the ground, "When they wake, they won't remember this little skirmish. Well...Not the way it happened. They'll hate you more than ever."
Witches, stay out of Margaret's sight, I sent, Margaret intends to kill any of us that she can.
The vampires who had come with us turned the corner. Their eyes widening when they saw Margaret.
"My God," Monroe said, moving closer to Jonathon and me.
"Not god at all," she said, raising her chin and cackling.
"She's Mary Brockhurst," Jonathon said, through clenched teeth, "That's one of her many glamors."
"And there will be many more," Margaret said, smiling maniacally.
"Not if I can help it," I said, throwing the flames at her as Monroe coerced his two fallen brothers from the floor. Their eyes settled on him as in their rage they chased him.
I'll get them to Mercy and Paul, he sent to me.
I focused on Cally, As soon as we step out of the barn, use your air gift. Destroy this place.
Margaret walked from the flames, her clothes burned. The black mist moved from her enveloping the church members. When it dissipated they were gone.
"I can't let them die while I still need them," she said with a shrug before her eyes turned to Jonathon, "I may not be able to kill you but I can hurt you."
Her hands curled into fists before I lit the fire in my fists once more hitting her in the abdomen. Her face reddened turning her attention to putting out the flames as I grabbed Jonathon's hand and pulled him out of the barn.
The moment we moved beyond the door, the wind began to hit all sides of the barn hard. We fought against the wind, stumbling away from the barn as the wood beams cracked and split.
The building shook as I gazed back through the large door. Margaret's face reddened as the building fell around her. Jonathon's eyes widened.
"That wouldn't kill her," he said, frowning as the air died.
"No," I said, pulling him along, "But it will slow her down."
"Let's not wait for her to catch up," Jonathon said, pulling me away from the ruined barn. I glanced back happy to know that we knew who she had pretended to be to start the church. Maybe with that glamor we could figure out which demon she was.

We reached the van finding the three vampires I had only seen in a rage. They were asleep in the back of the van. Mercy glanced at me, her eyes darkening as we all piled into the van.
"How did you get away?" She asked, frowning.
"A house fell on her," I said, causing her eyes to widen.
"I saw that in a movie once," she said, shaking her head as Gilliam started the van.
"The difference is this demon witch will come back," he said, throwing the van into drive and beginning to drive out of the forest.
"How long do you think we have?" Mercy asked her voice trembling.
The trees bowed behind us falling across the path, "I guess that answers your question," Gilliam said, exiting the forest and moving toward the center of town.
"She wouldn't expose herself in town, right?" Jolie asked her body shaking.
"I'm not sure," I said as my mind wandered to the church members on the floor, "We now know she can make people forget if she puts them to sleep."
"But she won't risk putting the whole town to sleep," Gilliam said, frowning, "It would cause too many questions."
"Then, get to the center of town," I said as he pressed his foot against the brake.
"Hey, Iz," He said, grabbing my attention, "Can you have someone open the gate to the manor when we approach?"
I nodded as I focused on Mrs. Claiborne, When I ask, open the gates.
Is everyone safe? She asked, her anxiety moving through the words echoing in my mind.
We will be, I answered, glancing over my shoulder to find debris littering the roads. Margaret was coming after us hard and fast and we still had a mile to go before reaching the beginning of town.
Gilliam pressed the gas speeding until we saw the landmarks for different historical building finally slowing down as we entered the town's center. I glanced over my shoulder to see Margaret on the outskirts, the wind whipping around her. Her glamor flickered and died revealing who she really was to anyone who would see her and I knew she wouldn't go any further.
"Just get to the manor," I said, glancing over my shoulder as she disappeared, "She's used too much of her magic to follow."
Gilliam nodded before glancing a Cally, "Are you sure?"
I smiled, "She can't hold onto her glamor," I said, taking a deep breath, "I'm sure."
He nodded making his way through town to the gates that had been opened just before our arrival. The gates closed behind us as I glanced at the sleeping vampires, taking a deep breath because everyone who needed to be there to take down the church was present. We simply had to hope Dimitri would get through the trials and show us the way to defeat Margaret.
