9. Babe

Siren's POV

30-minutes breaktime namin ngayon and I can't barely remember kung ano bang mga nangyari kanina sa klase. I am aware that it's 2 days away before our graduation but I don't care. My mind is too occupied to think for the upcoming graduation. Why? Kasi bothered ako sa pinag-usapan naming ni Ieuhence last night.

Kararating lang namin sa bahay and the moment he stepped on the gate, he's back into his angel form. I ignored it and went to my room to confront him.

"What was that?" I asked him but instead he just laughed at me. Aba't tinawanan lang ako? This is a serious matter!

"What's "what"?" Sabi niya at umupo sa kama.

"Drop it Ieuhence, stop fooling around!" I told him since I'm too curious with what he did.

"What do you want to know?" He said and smiled.

This Angel is making fun of me, huh?!

"How in the world you became human?" I honestly asked him.

At first, he didn't answer. He didn't utter a word as if he was thinking for the right words to say. Oh jeez, Ieuhence, just spit it out! They should stop keeping secrets from me, I remembered their secret, him and Grandma. It's unfair!

"Although we angels have rules, we also set our own. Kumbaga just like you humans do, you have your own principle, so do I. At first, I was hesitant about taking my human form, pero nakita mo naman siguro kung anong nagwagi sa isip ko." He said while doing his mannerism again.

I don't know what to feel. I don't want to assume but, did he do that for me? I breathe deeply and asked, "Bakit?"

He looked directly into my eyes and said, "I don't know. It's like I need to, I felt the urge to be with you."

"Ikaw lang ang nakaka-gawa sa akin neto Siren, ikaw lang." sabi niya.

I was caught off-guard and I don't know what to react until I found myself all alone. He disappeared after he realized what he said.

My head hurts upon remembering that scenario. Nakakabaliw lang. I snapped out from my thoughts when the bell rang, next subject is about to start.

Pumasok na ako sa room namin at nakita ko agad si Enrique—speaking off.

"How dare you?!" I hit him many times but it didn't bug him at mukhang nage-enjoy pa siya.

"Wait—aww! Why?" He said while protecting himself from all of my punches.

"I almost got hurled by a group of wasted people at the party, you idiot!" I said.

He stiffened when I mention what happened that night at napalitan nang galit ang itsura niya."What? Sino?! Sino yung mga bumastos sa iyo doon?"

Nagulat ako at natakot sa biglang inasal niya. "Those guys at the party, but I'm sure you don't know them cause you're not there." I said

"Look, I'm sorry okay? I searched for you, I looked all over the place pero hindi kita nakita." And he held my right arm, showing that he mean what he said. Napatigil ako nang may kumalabit sakin.

"What?" Sabi ko.

"LQ?" sabi nang isa sa mga kaklase namin.

"What?! No!" I said out loud without thinking what's happening.

Tumango lang si Enrique at napakagat-labi. I looked around at nakita kong nakatingin silang lahat sa amin. Double Crap! Hindi ko alam kung namumula ba ako or what, pero ramdam kong ang init na ng tenga ko.

Our Prof came in just to check our attendance and leave. The rest of the time, I'm just doing anything just to forget that awkward scenario.

After ng lunch break namin, I was on my way back to my classroom when I heard screams and chitchats somewhere. Most of them are girls and when I say girls, sigawan at tilian pa lang, nakakabasag na nang tenga. Ano nga bang meron at mukhang may pinagkakaguluhan sila?

"OMG, he's freakin' hot"

"Sinabi mo pa!"

"Sino kaya siya?"

"What is he doing here? May kakilala ba siya dito?"

"Kanin na lang ulam na, Bes! Busog na ako."

What are they blubbering about? And hey, papasok napo ako! They're blocking my way.

"Excuse me." I said. Kaso wala kahit isa ang pumansin sa akin. Aba teka, "Excuse me po." ulit ko kaso ganoon pa din.

"Excuse me po!!!!" sigaw ko and with that, they give me enough way para makadaan. Nakakaloka! May mga tenga din naman pala itong mga ito, hinintay pa akong sumigaw.

"Oh, she's here. Hi, babe!" He said and winked at me.

Holy Jesus! I was stunned at parang nag-shut down yung buong mundo when I saw him in front of me. I was just staring at him and he gave me that smile again. I think, I'm definitely going crazy. He's here again, Ieuhence, in his human form.

"What? Si Siren?"

"Aww! How sweet."

"Swerte much."

"Shet! Bagay na bagay."

I was back into reality when I heard them scream. Pero nagulat ako nang may mahagip ang mga mata ko. That dark winged man again. Nalaman siguro niya that I noticed him kaya lumakad siya papalayo, I felt the urge para sundan siya and to make things clear. But before I knew it, I turned around at tumakbo papalayo sa mga nagtitiliang babae at kay Ieuhence. Sino ka ba talaga? I heard Ieuhence calling out my name but I ignored it.
