Forget Me Not (Spinel X Fem!Reader)

~Chapter 12~

In the Temple, I bit my lip nervously as I stood next to Spinel, rocking on my heels slightly. She was currently explaining to the three Gems what had happened in the alleyway. I, however, wasn't paying attention. I was worried about what Garnet had said before on the way here. What could she want with me?

"(Name)" Garnet's voice pulled me out of my thoughts and I looked back up from my feet to see that Spinel had finished talking and Garnet stood on the stairs " Come," she said. I nod as I looked back to Spinel, " I'll be back" I said and Spinel let out a small laugh "I know you will" she said. Smiling, I walked back up the stairs to see Garnet sitting on the bed. She looked at me and patted the spot next to her. " Come sit," She said. Nodding I sat next to her and I looked up at her. "What is it that you wanted to talk about?" I asked. Garnet turned her head towards me and She gave a smile as she adjusted the visor over her eyes. " I've seen the way you and Spinel are together," She said. My eyes widen as my cheeks turned pink. Garnet's smile widened slightly as she let out a small chuckle " Are you both together?" She asked. My face was now a new level of red as I looked at her " N-no! At least...I don't t-think we are" I said as I looked down as I fiddled with my thumbs.

" Well, do you like her?" She asked as she continued to smile gently at me. I froze for a moment. Do I like her? Sure I had kissed her cheek. But people who are just friends do that right? But...Thinking about leaving her.., hurts. My eyes widen a little in realization. I have a crush on her. A sigh escaped my lips. " Well.....yeah. I do. " Said and Garnets smile widened. "Then go tell her," She said gently, placing a hand on my shoulder. "(Name), I know Gems from homeworld do not understand how humans behave. But love is something that we hold in common. " I shook my head. "But I don't even know if we're on the same page," I said.

" What do you mean by that?" She asked as she tilted her head. I let out a sigh as a small frown pulled at my lips. " Well...on the way back to my house...I kissed her cheek. Nothing much else happened after that. But...I'm not sure if ...If she even Likes me like that. I mean, she was made to be a friend...What if she only sees me as one? How do I know she likes me like that?" I asked.

"You don't" I blinked a few times as I looked at Garnet and she took that as a sign to continue. " When Ruby rushed to save Saphire, she took a chance. A leap of faith. And Saphire did the same as they ran away after they fused. (Name), Even with Sapphires ability to see into the future, she couldn't predict what would happen. It's just a chance you take" She smiled. "And, if you wanted, you and Spinel could fuse," She said. My eyes widen dramatically as I almost choked on my own saliva.

"W-what?! I thought only Gems could do that!" I said as I looked at her in disbelief. Garnet smiled as she shook her head. "Gems were the only ones who could fuse. " She began. "But, after Steven came along, I've seen him fuse with his friend Connie. Because he is half-human, he could fuse with you, and then your fusion can fuse with Spinel" She explained. I looked at her in thought as I remained still. She was right. A smile pulled at my lips. Until Garnet spoke up. "You can fuse after you tell her though" She added. My smile instantly fell. A sigh escaped my lips as I nod and I stood up. " Okay," I said nodding.

Garnet and I walked back down the stairs and as soon as I took the last step, pink arms wrapped around me and I was pulled over to Spinel and she held me tightly against herself " You're back!" She chirped as she nuzzled her face into the crook of my neck, her face rubbing against me, causing my cheeks to turn pink. "She's been fussing about you ever since you and Garnet left upstairs," Amethyst said as she smirked. Spinel snapped her head toward the purple Gem " Did not!" She yelled as her own cheeks reddened. Steven laughed "Did too!" He mocked playfully and Amethyst nods before she shapeshifted to look like spinel "Steven! When is (Name) coming back~, Oh Steven, it's been forever~, What if she's hurt?~ Steven" She mocked playfully. My own cheeks turned pink and Pearl smiled as she shook her head "Enough you two. Look at them" She said. Steven laughed a bit before he calmed down nodding "Okay, Okay" he said as he looked over at me

" Anyways, here," He said as he walked over with a pair of keys and handed them to me " While I was out I found you a place, the location is on the tag attached to the keyring," he said. Nodding I smiled. "Thank you. I think we should go now then" I said as Spinel nods as she unwrapped her arms from me.

After Spinel and I said our goodbyes, we both went up to the warp pad and she sent us off, and with a blink of an eye. A nauseous feeling filled my stomach. But when we arrived in little homeworld, the feeling went away. Spinel smiled " Okay (Name). Where to?" She asked. I was about to speak but a sudden pain hit my stomach and my stomach growled. Spinels eyes widen "(Name)! Are you okay?" she asked worryingly as she took ahold of my shoulders. I let out a sigh as I nod giving a small smile as to not worry her, " I'm fine Spinel, it's just I am a bit hungry" I said. Spinel nods and she smiled " Hold on," she said as she gently picked me up and gently placed me by the warp pad, and her arms went back to her sides as she set the warp pad off and she left.

I blinked a few times as I just stood there. " okay then" I said a bit confused as I slowly sat down on the ground to wait for her. And after a half-hour or so, Spinel came back with a few bags on her arms "Alright! I got you some food!" she said. I tilt my head as I stood up and I walked over and looked at the bags. Inside them were bottles of water as well as bread, jelly and peanut butter. Not much. But, it was sweet of her to get them. Smiling I nod happily "Thank you Spinel." I said with a smile as we both got off the warp pad. " Anything for you (Name)" she said happily.

After a bit of a walk, Spinel and I soon found the small place we were supposed to stay at. It took a bit of time, and a few times we had to ask a few (rather nice) Gems, who were more than willing to help us out. I smiled in pride. Everything I've been told about Gem kind from my parents was wrong. They do feel emotions just like us. Not that I've doubted it, but, still...

" Alright! Here we are!" I said as I twirled the keys in my hand before I stuck the key into the keyhole and I unlocked the door and pushed it open. The place was a nice size. It seems that they tried to get this place to look like an average humans household. There was a living room, a kitchen surprisingly, and there was also a loft which seemed to have a few doors, leading to a few rooms. It looked like a pretty cosy.

Walking inside I smile as Spinel " this place looks nice " Spinel hummed as she looked over to the fireplace that was in the living room. Nodding I smiled " Yeah," I said as I took the bags from Spinel and placed them in the island counter in the kitchen. And as I pulled the items out of the bags to put them away, I heard the tv turn on. "(Name). You may want to take a look at this" Spinel called over from the living room. I bit my lip nervously as I hesitantly walked over and I froze as I looked at the Tv.

"Today, a girl by the name of (first name) (last name) was kidnapped by a pink Gem, she was last seen heading towards beach City. If anyone has any information on her whereabouts please tell your local authorities"

I watched the news reporter was replaced with my picture. This was getting serious...and now, I'm starting to doubt my actions...
