Chapter 10

"Natalie, why did you do that? Jessica is a good doctor. All she needs is to work with someone like you. Now tell me, why did you tell her to leave?" Jon asks her, but her mind was in a different place. Natalie wasn't herself, at least not today. "Natalie!" Jon calls her name again. "Fine, I'll say sorry and bring her back. Happy?" She gets up and goes for the door but Jon calls her name again.

"Natalie........ just go easy on them. They're new." She nods and then leaves to go to the locker room to find Jessica packing her stuff, ready to leave. She sighs as she sees Natalie leaning against one of the lockers. "Why are you here?" Natalie runs her hand through her straightened hair and then puts her hands in her pockets. "I'm not here to say sorry, neither am I here to say that I regret what I did. But from what I've heard, you're a good intern and I'm willing to give you a second chance. You either take it or leave it. You're call." Natalie turns to leave but is stopped by Jessica calling her name.

"What made you change your mind?" She asks. Natalie didn't even know why she changed, maybe it's because of Jon. ".......... just take this chance Jessica." And then she walks out.

It was about 6:30 pm and Natalie was in the entrance checking to see if she had any more patients left to check on, when a little boy walked up to her. He was wearing blue jeans, a white shirt, and vans. "Hey, How can I help you kiddo?" Asked Natalie.

The boy had dark gray eyes, and curly hair just like Noah. "Hi, my name is Elijah, Elijah Willam. And I think I'm sick."
"Okay Elijah, what are feeling?"

"I'm having a lot of headaches and I feel sick all the time."
"Okay ummm where's your parents?" She asks, "Well it's only me and my mom, and she's in London." Natalie thought that was weird. Did he come here by himself?
"Okay let's go and get you checked in then. Jessica can you do a check up on Elijah and fill me in when your done." Jessica sighs before doing what she was told.

It was already time for Natalie to go home and see Noah but now she has this kid who she needs to check up on.
"Okay so I ran some test and it shows that he's fine. I did a blood test as well, and that also came out fine. Everything came back normal." Natalie sighs, "Okay well, if everything looks  normal then what's wrong with him?"
"I don't know, maybe he's lying about his symptoms?" Jessica suggests while Natalie looks over his chart.

"Okay well, I guess I'll go talk to him." Natalie says as she heads to his room.
