Charles POV.
The night was still young. And to be honest anything can happen. And we were all so happy and enjoying ourselves, and JJ was having a fun time, playing around with 5 of his cousins and there I was with everyone I loved. Although I had a bad feeling about something, I just tried to play it off by enjoying myself and being here with my family.
"Alright JJ, you ready." I said as I brought him his gifts. "Thank you uncle Charles." He hugs me and then he opens it, "And Danny and Naomi here is your gifts." They both opened it so fast and the joy in their faces was so incredible. "Thank you daddy." They both said as they hugged me.

The party for the kids was amazing and Natalie was running a little late from the hospital. "Hey, I'm so sorry I'm later how-how are they?" She asked as I hugged her. "They're fine, JJ and Danny where just playing hide and seek and Noah was playing with Anna and Hannah. Everything is fine." I was honest a little disappointed. "Look Charles- I tried really it's just there was this kid who-I saved his life." I looked away trying to not look like I was disappointed with her. "It's okay, there's cake..... I'm gonna go and help clear up." I left her and just walked away for a minute.

I sighed, I didn't want to be ungrateful for how far she had came to be the new chief of surgery but yet...... it's just that she's missing out on our kids big life moments and I hated that. I made a call and tried to fix it. God-I will fit it for her and for us. "Hey big bro." I turned to see Michael with a beer on his hand. "I thought you were sober." He smiles and walks closer to me and leans his back to the balcony. "I am, which is great...... but one won't do any harm and plus..... you seem a little pissed off." If everyone knows me best is Michael. "It's nothing........" he gives me the look and then says, "I usually say that but okay..... but really what's wrong?" I sigh and run a hand through my hair. "It's Natalie, she's working too hard to find a way to save the hospital that she forgets that she's only human and misses out on our kids big moments." He puts his hands down my shoulder and says, "One thing I know about Natalie is that she'll do anything to save something that means something to her, even when it means missing out on her kids birthdays. But you have to be strong for you and her, because she'll need you." He then takes a sip of his beer. "Thank you. For being here and playing with the kids. It means a lot." He smiles and replies with, "They're my nephews and niece. So I might as well come and play with them, and by the way Naomi, oh god she's just like her mother. And Danny and Noah are the best big brother, it reminds me of us, you know growing up with both..........." he stops and then smiles at me. "When they were both here.........." I continued for him. "Hey.... they might not be here but..... they'll never be forgotten." He was about to go but I hold him back. "Could you like to be the godfather of Danny and Naomi?" "Are you sure?" He questioned. "Yeah, I mean if you want to." He pulls me into a hug and says, "Of course big bro." We said our goodbyes and everyone was gone and the kids where in their bed, and Buddy was sleeping with Danny.

I checked on them one last time before going to bed and kissed each one of them good night on their forehead.
